Day before the prom night
I walked into the college only to be greeted by a bunch of screaming. All the girls were walking in groups and discussing about the guys they would go to the prom with. I did not meet Daniel after that day. The professor said he had gone out of town but would be back tonight.
I walked towards my locker. Melissa was with her group. The other girls saw me and instantly backed away but Melissa glared at me. I walked up to her, "Melissa, learn your lesson and move out of the way."
"You are just powerful for now. Wait till Daniel asks me to the prom. Then he will take revenge for me, not that I won't ."
This was my moment, "Oh so he hasn't asked you till yet?"
Irritation plastered her face, "shut up. I have been asked by around 68 guys so I can go with any one of them. Just mind your own business."
I shook my head at her low IQ and took my books from the locker. I met James in the cafeteria with Andrew. i walked up to them.
"Hey Elizabeth" Andrew smiled at me.
"Hey guys. Where's Venessa?"
"She has some early class right now."
"Oh"
"So what are you talking about?"
"James is not telling me who he is going with to the prom" it struck me. I hadn't thought of that. I was so busy with Daniel.
" Its a surprise" said James, " but who are you going with pizza girl?"
Yeah. That was my new name.
" First you tell me yours."
he sighed, "Okay.
I am going with

A girl"
I slapped his head, "Just tell me or I won't tell you"
"Okay okay. I'm going with

Kendal"
I was shocked, "Kendal?"
"Yeah now tell me yours. If you dont, I am putting bacon on you hair"
I chuckled, " I am going with Daniel."
Shock was plastered on his face.
"Daniel" Andrew spoke up after what seemed like ages. " Daniel as in Daniel? the one who gives you tutions?"
"Yeah. That Daniel"
He was about to say something but the bell rang. I had class so I had to leave. I told them bye and left.

Prom night
" is this ok?" I stepped out of my bathroom. Kendal and venessa saw me and their jaw dropped. We were getting ready together at my place. Kendal had chosen a really cool outfit for me. It was a black long sleeveless dress that slit from my thigh with glitters all over it. It suited with my black hair and black eyes and dark personality. Kendal curled my hair and did some make up I did not understand. once I was ready, I took a proper look of myself in my mirror.

I ACTUALLY looked good.
Way better than what I looked usually.
"So? how do you think you look?" asked Kendal.
"Amazing. I love you both so much."
Kendal and Venessa high fived (if thats even a word). I took a look at them and they looked hell pretty.
Venessa had worn a long silver dress that was netted on the top. Her long dark brown hair was up in a bun that suited her alot.
Kendal looked HOT. She wore a short turqoise dress with a shimmery black belt. Her light brown hair had been straightened which defined the red colour tips. Once we were ready, we left. Three of us were excited. Venessa for Andrew, Kendal for James and me for Daniel. I wonder what he would say once he saw me.We reached and went in. The area was kind of full.

There were drinks and a dj playing some soft music. Kendal said it usually began with that sort of music and then changed to EDM later in the night. She also said that the song which was played every year was How We Party by R3hab.

I started searching for Daniel but couldn't find him. Maybe he was a little late. I spotted James and Andrew walking towards us through the crowd. James reached out for Kendal's hand and she took it. She turned to me asking whether I will be alright alone. I nodded. Her moment shouldn't be ruined because of me. She left with James and they started dancing.
"Uh, Elizabeth?" Venessa said
"Yeah?"
"Umm, Andrew wants to dance with me."
I understood what she meant, " its okay. You both can go. I'll be fine"
She smiled, " Are you sure?"
"Yeah. Now go"
" Okay." She smiled at me and left with Andrew.

Wow

Now I was alone. I shouldn't have let them go. I started searching the crowd for Daniel and my eyes landed on Melissa. She looked like a slut. She had worn a red low neck sleeveless dress that ended just above her mid thigh. Her blonde hair was up in a bun. Though she was dressed like a slut, I must admit, she looked really pretty. I waited for 10 minutes. Then I saw Daniel walk in with a calm expression on his face. My face lit up.

His eyes were searching the crowd, probably for me.
They landed on something and then he smiled. I frowned. He wasn't smiling at me, he was smiling at Melissa. He walked up to her, embraced her and placed his hands on her waist. Anger raged through me. I walked up to them.
"Daniel!"
He looked at me happily, " oh hi Elizabeth!"
" Whats wrong why are you so late?"
"Oh I had some work." he then searched the crowd and looked at me with a confused look, "where's your date?"...
