"What the fuck" I whispered. Cass, sitting next to me looked up.
"What's wrong? Do you know him?"
I shook my head, "No. I'm just wondering that you liked such a cute guy"
She smiled, "Yeah. But I don't feel anything now. That was a long time ago."
"Okay. Stay strong Cass. This will be difficult for you."
She smiled, "I will"
But the truth was, it will be difficult for ME.

I strolled through the dark streets of London, thinking to myself. Could I kill him? My best friend? I sighed and went to his house. I climbed up to his room through his balcony. He was sleeping there like a lost puppy. I walked up to him and shook him, "James. Wake up."
He twisted around a little and kept on sleeping.I sighed, went to the bathroom, got a mug of water and poured it over him. He woke up with a rush and looked at me like I had stolen away all the chocolates he would ever have in his life. Before he could scream at my presence, I instantly covered his mouth.
"Yeah its me. Now don't scream." I let go of him and he looked at me, again in that how-dare-you-steal-my-chocolates!-they-are-my-chocolates! way.
"Elizabeth?"
"Yeah. I need to talk to you"
"You can even wait for tomorrow. How the fuck did you climb into my room?" He gazed around and looked back at me.
I frowned, "I don't have time for that. Just wash you face and come here."
"Okay" he got of the bed. I couldn't stop noticing his shirtless body and the way his muscles flexed when he moved. He was wearing boxers and his hair was messy. After a few minutes, he came out of his washroom, a shirt pulled on him.
"Ya say" he asked.
I took a deep breath. I had to ask him about his life, who he really is."James, who are you?"
"James Grace. Duh" he gave me a are-you-serious? look.
"I'm not joking James. Tell me about your elder brother" he straightened up.
"You mean Hansel? How do you know him?"
"We can talk about that later. First tell me about him"
"Well, he is my elder brother. Actually half brother. His mother, like you, was from Dark London. My dad was from the other side of London. He met her and they fell in love. Then they had Hansel but my father didn't like it.
He always wanted to be a good man so he left them and came over here. Then he met my mum and they fell in love. Then they married and had me. I never knew about Hansel and his mum until I was 10 years when dad him into the house. Hansel's mum had died and he did not have any shelter. Mum accepted him and took care of him but dad never gave him attention. He would always make sure my wishes were fulfilled but never gave a damn about Hansel. Hansel got upset and ran away one day, we don't know where. Dad never made an effort to search for him. Just a month ago, Hansel came back. Mum and I were very happy but dad wasn't. Hansel didn't care about that. He doesn't even stay here half the time."
Shock was plastered on my face.
"Look James, you are in deep trouble. Hansel is planning something bad against you."
"Why would he?"
"Your dad always liked you. He never cared for Hansel. Obviously Hansel is jealous of you"
"Yeah but that doesn't mean he will want to do something bad to me. Besides, how can you be so sure?"
"Because Hansel is the leader of my murder team in Dark London!"
He was shocked.
"What?"
"Yeah! and guess who he asked us to murder? you!"
"W-what the fuck!" He ran his hand through his hair.
I was about to say something when the door opened. I turned around and saw Hansel walking in.
"You haven't slept James?"
"uh, not really."
"It's late. You should sleep." He said it in a brotherly way, a brother who cared. Hansel's eyes flickered over to me and widened.
"You! Elyssa! what are you doing here?"
" Run James!" I screamed.
" Not without you!"
"Go I'll follow you!"
James ran to his balcony and climbed over it. Hansel drew out a knife and advanced towards me.
"I am going to get rid of you tonight"
I ran to the balcony and climbed over it. Hansel started chasing behind me and James.
We ran together, without knowing where we were going. I looked back and saw that Hansel wasn't chasing us anymore. I sighed and turned to James.
"We can stop here." We both were panting for breath. I looked around and saw that we were on a bridge.
"We need to find a place to rest" he said.
" My place is dangerous. The only safe place will be outside the grid"
"Okay then"
We kept on walking in the night, through the roads until we came outside the grid. The fresh air of the countryside hit me making my hair fly. We came to a huge cliff kind of thing with a small area shaped like a cave. We decided to stop and I gathered some sticks to light us a fire.
"Wow! You are an expert at all this" he said.
"Thanks to my experience in dark London"
He nodded. I yawned. "You should probably sleep. I'll keep guard over the night" he said.
I nodded and lay my head on his lap, slowly drifting of sleep...
