Let's go to the beach

Jessica's POV

"Did - I interrupt - something?" Jean asked confusedly. Of course Jean had to think that we were some sort of idiots.

"No, there's nothing for you to worry about" Connor said trying to smile "What did you want anyway?"

"I just wanted to let you know that we're leaving in about five minutes to go grab some breakfast then head to the beach" Jean said obviously worried about how Connor responded.

"We'll be there in a minute"

"Good morning, people" Jack said joyfully "ready for the big adventure?" I sometime think that he's a five-year old child.

"Yes, we are" I said sarcastically, mocking him.

"Nice try" Jack looked at me with a straight face "now get your asses up into the car"

We laughed hopping into the car. But this time, I sat next to Connor Jack started the engine & we were soon on the road.

Connor put his hands on mine & squeezed it softly sending electricity through my whole body.

"Thank you" Connor whispered in my ear.

"For what?"

"For listening to me" he smiled.

"You're welcome" I smiled back.

"What you two lovebirds doing at the back?" Lillian said smirking.

"Nothing, just hangin' out" I replied innocently.

"Yeah.... right" Lillian mumbled. I could really feel that huge grin on her face.

After we had breakfast in a small dinner, we arrived at the beach. We were now standing in front of the beach.

"Excuse my french guys but... Fuck" I exclaimed staring at the beach. The view looked so beautiful.

"Ohh... the good girl swears" Connor teased.

"Ha-Ha" I remarked sarcastically "fery bunny"

"I'll race you to the shore" Connor said in that childish tone.

"You're on" I replied confidently.

I felt the others staring at us weirdly. I didn't care, I came here to have fun & to think about myself for once. That's what why we are here, right?. Moreover, Connor made it so much fun & even better.

"1, 2, 3, go"

I started running as fast as I could but Connor seemed not to have the problem of speeding up & leaving me behind. I'd to do something.

"Aww. Connor wait, I think I hurt my leg" I winced in pain kneeling down on the ground. I watched Connor stopping dead in tracks & running hurriedly towards me.

"You okay?" He knelt down examining my feet "where does it hurt?" He asked with a concerned face.

"Just kidding, I didn't hurt my leg" I shrieked too quickly getting up & running towards the shore.

"That wasn't fair, you cheated" Connor exclaimed at me cause I won.

"Well, life isn't always about following the rules" I said smugly.

"You know, there will be consequences for your mistakes" he replied with a smirk on his face.

"And that's supposed to make me scared?" I said putting my hands on the hips like a diva.
