Chapter 2
"Welcome back experiment, so, how was your walk?" Dimitri said as he gripped a handful of her hair and slammed her face against his knee causing her nose to start bleeding.
"Fuck you..." Alyna sputtered out as she choked on some blood that made its way to the back of her throat. Alyna recognized where she was immediately, if the dim lights hanging from the ceiling and cold metal chair she was cuffed to didn't give it away, the smell of bleach, blood, and god knows what else did. She tried to remain calm but flashes of what happened the last time she was in this room plagued her mind.
(Start of flashback)
"Alyna, what's going on?" A little boy with poofy brown hair whispered, the fear evident in his voice.
"I don't know," five-year-old Alyna responded, as she struggled to untie her hands from the rope that was binding her to the wall.
"I can't see anything," The little boy said, as he started to cry.
"Me either, but don't cry. I won't let anything happen to you," Alyna said right before a door opened and the lights turned on blinding the two temporarily.
"ALYNAAA," The little boy shouted as he was untied from the wall across from her.
"MAT-," She started to yell back but was interrupted by the sound of a gunshot and his body hitting the floor. The first of many...
(End of flashback)
"You know the last time you were in here..." Dimitri started, as he walked behind Alyna's chair and tilted it back till the blood from her nose was no longer running down into her mouth but instead starting to pool and sting at her eyes. "You finally used your powers,"
"Shut up," Alyna spat at him, a bit of her blood and saliva had stuck onto his glasses, making him darken his eyes towards her even more.
"I take it you remember 206 then?" He said, his voice laced with venom that stung worse than the blood pooling in her eyes. "Or as you liked to call him, Mateo? No. Matty..."
"I said SHUT UP!" Alyna yelled as tears started mixing with the blood now dripping onto the floor below her.
"Poor Matty, if only your powers could have saved him, instead you used them to kill everyone else in the room," Dimitri set the chair back upright and walked over to a wall that was littered with various tools hung up on bent nails. "Well, almost everyone..."
"Your next, I swear on Matty's life, you will die a horrible, slow, and painful death," Alyna swore at his back. He slowly turned around with a large hammer in one hand, a few rusty nails in the other, and a wide demonic grin.
"That's what you said last time, yet I'm still here..."
Meanwhile, Demon and Red Hood were finally making their way back to the Batcave to inform Batman about Alyna and Xenon taking her.
"Where have you two been?" Batman shouted as soon as the two stepped into the secret hideout.
"Listen Bats before you get mad we have something really important to discuss with you," Red Hood says as he walks over to his angry father figure.
"I said Damian wasn't ready and yet you still brought him on patrol with you!" Batman said angrily.
"Dude, yell at me later, we need to tell you what we found!" Red Hood said angrily back.
"No Jason, I don't want to know, I want you to listen to me when I give an order!" Batman yelled back.
"Father, it's about Xenon Corp.," Damian spoke up with a roll of his eyes at how much more mature he thought he was compared to the two currently yelling at each other like cavemen.
