Crud. Still emotional. I'll focus on that in the final announcement. For now, it's time to acknowledge the special awards! These have absolutely no relevance to anything important, but they're always my favorite part of a Games finals. So, without further ado:
The Eager Beaver Award
This award is given to the wonderful human being who almost always sent in her entries before anyone else, thus making me much more confident that I had actually posted the damn task and people read it.
Winner: The Erlking, written by @WatchOutForMarvin
The Top Of The World Award
This award goes to the tribute who spent the greatest amount of time in first place in the rankings. Combining hilarious entries with a confusing ability to avoid ballot deaths, this tribute has definitely earned her place in the Final Four.
Winner: Persephone Pluton, written by @RappyTheDinosaur
The Eternal Love Award
Given for the the best and only ship in Author Games: Ragnarok (Amaterasu and herself does not count.)
Winner: Yemeya and Nyx (Yemyx? Nyxmeya? Whatever. It was cute.)
The Take my Worshippers- Please! Award
Given to the tribute who, my opinion, used humor to the greatest effect in thier entries. Although there were several decent contenders, the choice seems clear to me.
Winner: Loki, written by @monalisatimelord
The Hit 'Em In The Feels Award
It's all in the name. It would be a crime against man and God and adorable fluffy puppies if I gave this award to anyone else. Alex. Seriously. I cri.
Winner: Yemeya, especially in Task Six, written by @Littlefoot98
The Could You Spell That? Award
This award goes to several tributes: it is awarded if they wrote a god or goddess or god-like entity of whom I had never read/heard. So, the winners are:
Yemeya, an African moon and water goddess
Hermaphroditus, a Greek deity of apparently hermaphrodites
and Ko'lhamana, a Zuni prosperity spirit
Well done. It's always good to learn new things.
That's all we have for the special awards. If the results are not up later tonight, they will be up the following afternoon. Sadly, I have homework, PT, and other inconveniences.
