The day was finally over, to your dismay. You started on your walk home, thoughts pestering your mind.
What were those girls talking about? And why did it feel like everyone was staring at me the rest of the club?
Shaking it off, you continued home, noticing the red head from your class earlier.
"Hey! Kasanoda-chan!" You yelled in his direction.
He looked over at you, his cheeks suddenly heating up. He awkwardly sped up, pretending he hadn't heard you.
He really is socially awkward.
You walked up to him, smiling. "Kasanoda-chan, sorry for freaking out during class earlier, I just wasn't expecting to have so many posters of me plastered around the school." He was really tall. You neck started to hurt from looking up at him.
He looked very shocked? Or was it scared? "N-no it's okay, I um... it's fine."
"That's great then! Hey, is your house this was Kasanoda-chan? Mine's the one over there!" You pointed to your home, a decent sized mansion that was f/c and had a big yard and fountain in the front.
He looked a little surprised. "Didn't they just sell it to a family from another country a few months ago?" He asked.
You smiled, "Yep! I moved in about a month after it was purchased."
He looked surprised. "But... I live across the street from it," He pointed to a smaller, traditional Japanese home with a courtyard and intricate wall. "And I've never seen anyone come in or out of the house. Do your parents leave really early?"
You looked down, "Not... really." You sighed. How could you explain this? "They don't live with me... right now."
He looked like someone had just kicked him... hard. "I-I'm so sorry!" He scrambled, "I shouldn't have spoken so carelessly! My deepest apologies!" He bowed, still apologizing.
You blinked twice. "Oh!" You realized, laughing. "They're not dead- phht-" You grabbed you stomach and bent over laughing.
"I'm sorry for the misunderstanding, I just moved here to go to Ouran while they stayed at our main house." This wasn't a total lie, they were still technically living at your main 'house'.
Kasanoda's cheeks flushed again. "O-oh." He looked away awkwardly. Focusing on his shoes, the other houses on the block, and anywhere besides the short girl in front of him.
"Would you like to come inside? I could make us some hot chocolate!" You offered, praying he liked the only beverage you knew how to prepare.
He looked at you, still blatantly surprised, "U-uhm, sure! I would like that."
You smiled, glad you had finally made a friend outside of the host club. Hopefully.
----
Ding-dong
You opened the door to reveal Kasanoda, he was dressed in his school uniform.
"G-good morning, N/n-chan." He said, acting the smallest bit less nervous than yesterday.
"Good morning, Kasanoda-chan!" You returned. After talking for a while the day before, you both had decided it would be fun to walk to school together in the mornings.
----
It had been a few weeks. The host club had been really fun, and you and Kasanoda had gotten a lot closer, and were still walking to school with each other. He didn't stutter around you anymore, and you had been trying to help him make some other friends besides you. Don't get yourself wrong, you had a ton of fun with him and were glad you were friends, but you wanted to help him be more social- which meant making friends in general.
"N/n-chan!" Someone called you as you and Kasanoda were walking to your shared first period.
Kasanoda tried to walk to class without you but you pulled his sleeve bringing him back. "Suoh-chan! Good morning!" You called as the blonde stopped in front of you.
"Likewise, N/n-chan. Oh, and you too, Bossanova-chan!" Tamaki smiled.
Bossanova-chan? Does he mean Kasanoda? You held back your laughter, Wait! This is the perfect opportunity!
"Hey, Suoh-chan." You began. He nodded your way, "Will you walk Kasanoda-chan to his first class? I have to go... get a new book from the library!" You lied, hoping he would believe you.
Tamaki looked surprised, the smiled, "Sure, N/n-chan! And why won't my daughter ever call me by my first name?" He put on a sad face, leaning down to your height.
You sighed, "It's just a habit now, sorry Tamaki-chan. I'll try to remember next time. Have fun with Kasanoda-chan, though!" You turned to go 'get a new book', giving Kasanoda a wink as you walked away.
You were about to pull open the library door when it swung open, hitting you in the head.
"Ouch..." You mumbled, rubbing where you were hit.
"N/n-chan!" You looked up to see Honey-senpai in the doorway. "Are you okay?!"
You gave him a small smile, "I'm okay. Are you on your way to class?"
He gave you an unsure look before answering, "Yeah, I just had to pick up a book for my literature teacher. Did you finish the book you were reading?"
"Yeah! I did, it was really great! I was going to get a new one, I heard this one detective book was really good."
You and Honey-Senpai had walked inside the library, him following you to the mystery section. You searched for the book you were looking for, hoping it was there.
"Where did you hear about this book from?" Honey-senpai asked you.
"Oh! One of the ladies I was hosting yesterday recommended it to me, she said one of the characters reminded her of me." You found the area the book would be in, now searching for the book.
"What's the book called?" Honey-senpai stood beside you, looking over the shelf to your left.
"Oh, it's ca-" You were cut off when you saw the bookshelf tipping over, about to fall on you.
"Y/n!" Honey-senpai attempted to tackle you to the floor, but was met with carpet when you had dodged the falling shelf on your own.
You looked down at him and started giggling. "How does the carpet taste?"
He looked up at you, pouting. "Lovely."
You now seriously looked at the shelf. Books were strewn around it, some partly opened. The bookshelf was sturdy, and pretty heavy. There was no way it would fall over on its own.
How could this have happened? It's a well-made piece of furniture, I mean this is a rich school. How could it have just... fallen over? It couldn't have been a person's doing, could it? Could it be...
"Y/n-chan!?" You blinked, then looked towards Honey-senpai, your head tilted. "Oh, you were just spacing out. You're not hurt, are you?"
You shook your head. "I'm not hurt, just a little surprised."
Honey-senpai gave you a concerned look. He steeped closer, pulling you into a hug. "I'll walk you to class." You mumbled an okay before he pulled away, grasping you hand and pulling you along.
It couldn't be, could it?

I just wanted to say, I am very, very thankful to the person who added this fanfic to their library! It really made my day, and inspired me to write this chapter. So thank you so, so much! (I'll add your name if you'd like me to)
