It had been a long day. Your classes had felt extra-long and strenuous. You assumed this was because you couldn't stop thinking about the experience from that morning.

You had determined three things from your hours mulling it over:

Firstly, there was no plausible answer to why the shelf fell over. It hadn't been against a wall, so it could have been pushed by someone or something. It would have had to be really strong though, since it was and extremely durable and large piece of furnishing.

Second, it was solely up to you to figure out what happened. If you did tell someone, things may blow out of proportions, and you wanted to handle this as quietly as possible. This led to your third conclusion:

I can't let the host club find out what happened!

You held a fist in determination. You were walking from your last class to the club room. You had asked Honey to meet you by the fountain outside, that way nobody would hear what you were going to ask him.

Honey-senpai is a trustworthy friend of mine, so if I told him not to say anything about what happened in the library, I'm certain he won't bring it up!

Approaching the fountain, you looked up to see Honey waiting there for you. He waved, and you waved back, closing your eyes for a moment to calm your nerves.

Come on, Y/n! It's not weird to ask to not talk about a near-death experience right after it happened! Besides, there's plenty of excuses you could say if he asks!

"What did you want to talk about N/n-chan?" You were now in front of Honey-senpai, looking up at his big, sparkling eyes.

You inhaled, "H-honey-senpai, I was hoping we could avoid bringing up what happened in the library this morning." You looked down at your shoes.

Honey gave you a concerned look, "It's okay if you don't want people to talk about it, N/n-chan! It must have been pretty scary." He gave you a comforting smile to hide it, but you could tell he was genuinely worried about you.

You gave him a smile in return, I wasn't really scared... but it's not really lying if you don't correct them, right?

"Thanks Honey, that makes me feel a lot better." He looked down at you, a little surprised. "Is everything okay?" You asked after a pause.

He froze for a second, like a little kid caught sneaking candy into their room, "I'm okay, N/n. Let's just head to the club now, okay?" He grabbed your hand again, slightly tugging you along.

   You smiled, "Yeah, let's."

----

You stood, a frigid chill running up your spine. You and Honey looked at each other, hands still intertwined and eyes locked.

A few feet ahead of you both, where you would have been if you had taken one more step forward, was a vase filled with bright purple flowers. Or, at least that's what is used to be. Now, it was reduced to a pile of painted fragments, water darkening the now stained walkway.

"N-n/n?" Honey looked at you like he had seen a ghost, or had almost been turned into one.

"Y-yes, that did just happen." You answered, not needing to hear his question.

You both stood there looking between yourselves and the shattered vase. "L-let's just get to the host club." Honey mumbled.

   "Y-yeah, let's go."

----

You both burst into the music room three, panting and out of breath. The club still wasn't opened to guests yet, so only the other hosts were in the room.

"N/n-chan! Honey-senpai!" Tamaki called. After seeing the looks on your faces he paused. "Did something happen?" He asked.

You and Honey gave each other a glance as the other hosts gathered around. You nodded in agreement and told them what happened in the library and just now.

At this point, it may involve both me and Honey, I can't try to keep this under wraps after all...

It was worst case scenario, but you were certain you could find a way around it while keeping Honey and the other hosts safe.

The hosts all looked aghast at your story, and Kyoya being his unapologetic self said what you all were dreading, "So you believe this is a targeted attack?" He asked.

Gulping, you and Honey nodded, everyone relinquishing to the truth.

"Do we know which of you they're after though?" Haruhi asked, worry laced in her voice.

Honey and you looked at each other. Although the bookshelf had fallen towards yourself, the vase had been closer to hitting him. You both shook your heads, "No, we don't."

You and the other club members all began throwing around the clues available. "It's most likely that Honey-senpai is the target of the attack rather than N/n-chan." Kyoya began.

"Why is that, Kyoya?" Tamaki asked.

Kyoya pushed up his glasses, "Well, N/n-chan, being the heir to a small sweets company would be an unlikely target. There would appear to be no gain from having her removed from the picture, since her family's business has no ultimate rivals. Honey-senpai on the other hand, is a world class fighter and an unparalleled weapon, making him more of a threat than our childish second year." Maybe Kyoya was just naturally sounded insulting.

You internally grimaced once Kyoya's words set in. There was a key factor he was missing, and if he knew about would have come to a different conclusion. You sighed, understanding the incoming trouble of this dilemma.

"We'll just have to keep an eye on both of them, in case N/n-chan actually turns out to be the target." Haruhi remarked. She looked determined, like a protective big- err... little sister.

You gave a meek smile, "Thanks Haruhi-chan!" Even if this meant more trouble for you, you still felt relieved by her words.

"Then it's a plan, we will keep someone with both Honey-senpai and N/n-chan at all times. First, though, we should get ready for club hours. It would be troublesome if the guests found out about this." Kyoya ended.

----

"N/n-chan! Wait up!" You heard someone call.

You looked over to see Karou running towards you, who had been about to slip out of the clubroom unannounced.

"What is it, Karou-chan?" You asked, ignoring the obvious answer to this.

He looked at you for a second then sighed, "You know your not supposed to go off on your own until we figure out what's going on." He frowned.

You looked up at him unamused, "I was only going to the bathroom..."

He looked unimpressed, "Then why do you have your bag with you?"

You held in a squeak. "Ummm... girl stuff?"

Karou sighed, not beliving you. "Club hours are over, so I'll walk you home." He walked past you, turning to ask, "Are you coming?"

You looked anywhere but at him, looking for an excuse. "Don't we need to wait for Hikaru?"

He gave your comment thought for a second before heading back into the host room. "I'll go and get him. Wait here, okay?" You shrugged as he went inside.

By the time he got back with Hikaru, you were long gone.

"Should we look for her?" Hikaru asked his twin.

Karou frowned, questions stirring behind his realization. "...I don't think we'll find her."

   "Why?"

   "She'll make sure of it."
