Having my baby girl is the best feeling in the world. She means everything to me, even if I don't know what the hell I'm doing. Zoe has not only me but Benny and his family wrapped around her little fingers.
It's been a month and things have been hectic but at the same time great. I just feel bad that Zoe will never know her mother. But she's better off the bitch rather have money than her own child.
I'm walking through the store with her against my chest in one of those carriers. Don't judge me for not knowing what it's called. I'm lucky if I remember my left nut from my right but. Anyways I'm getting off track. Zoe starts making all these cute sounds, and I swear she is chick magnet. Even though I am not looking for anything at the moment. I stop in my tracks when I hear a voice I did not want to hear.
"Fuck!" I whisper but Zoe takes this opportunity to start crying and I bounce her up and down to calm her down. "I'm sorry baby, it's alright." I turn around but when I hear my name being called my blood runs cold.
"Bryan."
"Nope, wrong person." I say in a deep voice. I do not dare to look at her.
"Come on Bry don't be like that."
If I did not have my daughter in my arms, the rage would consume me. I turn around and glare at her.
"What do you want Tammy?"
She looks between me and our daughter...no correction my daughter.
"What's her name?"
"You've got to be shitting me!" My voice raises but I don't give a shit. "You have no right to no anything about MY daughter." Zoe starts crying more and I try to calm her down.
"You know why I had to."
"No I don't!" I sneer at her. "Now stay the hell away from me. If you see me, walk the other way."
With that I walk away. Pissed more than I have been in awhile. I grab what I need quickly and then get the hell out of there. I get to my SUV, it's nothing new just something that gets me around until I can buy something new. Whenever the hell that will be. I put Zoe gently in her car seat. When I finally sit in the driver seat I rest my head on the steering wheel.
The urges that are coursing through my veins want to consume me. Just then my phone rings and startles me.
"Yo man, where's my baby girl at?" I can't help but laugh at Benny. "I see how it is you don't love me anymore." He laughs whole heartedly and I can't help but smile. Which helps take some on the tension away. "Yeah, I do, but I found a new love you doob. So where did you take my girl?"
"We went to the store." My anger rises again, so I take a deep breaths. "Aw Snickers."
"Snickers?" I can't help but laugh. "Shut up! I can't have babygirl repeat our words."
"Benny boy, you do know she is only a month old." I start my car and head out. I really don't want another run in with her. "Yeah but she's a smart girl, she'll pick it up quick. Anyways the reason I called my parents want us over for dinner."
"Alright I'll head over now."
"Perfect see you soon brother."
I set my phone on the passenger seat and head over to the Evans place. Well technically my home since as far as I can remember. They were always there for me, when my parents weren't.
I just got my ass beat from pick pocketing some dude. Apparently I wasn't quick enough and his buddy caught me. Doesn't mean I didn't throw a few good punches. I had to do something my parents were getting seriously bad. My dad already kicked me in the stomach until I finally agreed. So I had to get money somehow to support their stupid habits.
