"You've gotta be kidding me," Wheeljack said as he transformed into his robot mode and set me down.
Holy mother of Zeus-
"WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?!"
"A Predacon," Wheeljack said causally.
"A WHAT?!"
"Get behind me, kid,"
I did as he commanded, hiding behind his legs. But my wild curiosity got the better of me as I stole a glance at said Predacon. The figure was a bipedal dragon with massive wings and a distinctive color scheme. It had sharp talons and razor-sharp fangs that curved inward and had knives for teeth. The body itself was sleek and covered in metallic scales and streaks of yellow light. And despite its massive size, this Predacon was designed with articulated joints.
But nothing was more intimidating than its tremendous size and the look in its eyes. I stared up at its glowing yellow eyes, which seemed to burn with hatred. Yep. This dragon hates us.
The Predacon let out an ear-piercing roar, forcing me to cover my ears.
"What does this creature want?" I asked, keeping a keen eye on the Predacon.
"Shockwave once tainted this beast with my Energon so it was programmed to hunt me down. It wants me and the Autobots," Wheeljack said.
"So you're saying Shockwave somehow brainwashed this robo-dragon into killing, and now it's out for blood? How did it even find us?"
"It has precise homing instincts," Wheeljack deadpanned as he backed away.
"Great. Just great," I sarcastically remarked. "I was hoping you'd say the Cons attached a GPS tracker somewhere on the creature so I could smash it."
And that's when the dragon started charging at us, roaring again. I knew better than to stay in harm's way so I ran as fast as I could, scrambling to hide behind a boulder. Once I had done that, I peered over the stone in time to see Wheeljack blasting the Predacon with his photon blasters. A battle cry erupted from his mouth as he kept shooting at the creature, aiming for its head.
But the shots didn't seem to do anything, only irritate the beast. The Predacon shrieked in anger as his throat began to light up, something traveling up his throat like it was about to vomit. Then, the Predacon opened his mouth and breathed out fire, sending it in Wheeljack's way.
Wheeljack dashed out of the way just in time for the pillar of fire to blow up right beside him. He ducked and rolled out of the way, getting up and repeating the same attack, aggravating the Predacon even more with his firepower. The shots mostly deflected and bounced off, really putting the Predacon off the edge.
That's when a spiked tail collided with Wheeljack, wacking him and sending him flying backward. I watched in terror as my guardian tumbled to the ground before reeling over again and hitting a boulder.
I peered over the bolder I was using to hide and spared a glance at the Predacon, just as its head snapped in my direction, its blazing yellow optics making me stiffen. "Scrap," I cursed, quickly hiding behind the boulder again.
The beast was coming for me, I knew that, which was why I needed to find a new hiding spot. Wingbeats could be heard and they were getting closer and closer. I glanced up at the Predacon, who was flapping its wings when it let out a mighty roar and sent a fire blast in my direction. I cursed as I jumped out of the way, the fire smelting the place where I had just been seconds ago.
I instantly made a break for it, running down the volcanic field, in search of new shelter. I picked up speed, sprinting in hopes of finding a hiding place. As I ran, I looked at the Predacon which was high in the air, beating its wings. Suddenly, it swopped in from above, claws ready to catch me, but I fell flat on the ground, narrowly missing its razor-sharp talons.
