It was uncomen for Sherlock and John to go out on dates. Most of the time the pair preferred staying in and ordering take out. But today was a special occasion. John, who had been contemplating it for quite a while was going to purpose.
Unlike any of the corny shit (some people like it Sherlock Holmes however did not) you see in movies where a couple will go to where they had there first date and have a whole speech prepared, John was going simple. He had booked a table at and nice/casual restaurant where hopefully, they would both be comfortable. The ring he got was a simple silver band with the word LOVE in mores code.
Hopefully if everything goes to plan the couple will have a nice diner, (Sherlock won't detect what's going on) John and sherlock will go in a walk and in a slightly secluded aria John will give sherlock the ring box and ask him simply. Hopefully doing it in such a way will keep unwanted attention and press away while still making it slightly romantic.
