Cassie gently guided Albus back towards the Hospital Wing, shooting occasional worried glances at the shaken-up Gryffindor. She didn't try to say anything, a gut feeling telling her the only person who could handle Albus this upset would be Grindelwald.
Finally, after what felt to her like hours, they reached the big wooden doors to the wing.
Cassie didn't pause to knock, shoving the doors open and hastily pulling Albus through as they swung back on them.
"Grindelwald, your boyfriend needs you!"
She paused as she noticed a girl sitting in Albus' chair, frowning as she turned around.
"Angelina?"
The black-haired girl smirked at her, "Gellert is a bit busy, why don't you and that silly Gryffindor leave us alone?"
Grindelwald's face twisted into a grimace as he looked at Cassie, and then straight at Albus.
In an instant he was on his feet, ignoring the sparks of pain from his hexed leg and making his way over to them.
"What the hell happened Cassie?! You were supposed to protect him!"
Angelina's smirk dropped away, and she stood, quickly making her way over to the enraged Grindelwald.
"You had better come back to the bed," she simpered, "After all it's his fault you're hurt, leave him."
Grindelwald didn't even look at her, his magic lashing out angrily. She fell backwards, eyes open wide in shock, "You'll pay for that Gellert Grindelwald!"Only Cassie spared her a glance, not feeling particularly sorry for the other girl when Albus was still upset.
"Cassie!" Grindelwald growled.
Cassie swallowed harshly, realising she hadn't answered the Slytherin's question. She may care about him a lot, but that didn't mean he didn't terrify her.
"We ran into Nicolas at the dorms, he had his goons grab me but that Gryffindor, uh, Gideon I think his name is, stepped in to defend Albus..."
She trailed off, glancing at Albus unsure how to continue.
Grindelwald's fierce gaze didn't fade as he continued to glare at her, the moment interrupted by Albus finally looking up at his boyfriend, eyes focused once more.
"The Head has written to my parents Gellert."
Gellert's harsh expression dropped off his face as he turned to Albus, arms immediately opening as the Gryffindor dropped everything onto the floor and threw himself at his boyfriend. The Slytherin staggered a little under his weight but stood his ground, gently stroking Albus' head as the Gryffindor finally began to cry, heavy sobs wracking his form.
Grindelwald's eyes met Cassie's over his boyfriend's head and he gave her a small nod, silently thanking her for bringing Albus safely back to the Hospital Wing.
Cassie offered up a small smile back, flicking her wand and sending all of Albus' work onto the nearest table. She then marched over to where Angelina was still sat dazed on the floor, yanking her up by the arm.
"We're leaving to have a long chat about your behaviour!" She snapped, dragging the black-haired girl out of the doors, Angelina's protests falling on seemingly deaf ears.Gellert didn't move from where he was stood, gently carding his hands through Albus' hair as the Gryffindor sobbed.
"Shhh, guter junge, cry it out." The Slytherin murmured comfortingly, ignoring the sparks of pain in his leg.
