True Love

Return to Gryffindor

Grindewald awoke with Albus nestled in his arms for the second time in a few days. He smiled sadly, knowing Albus would have to sneak back to his own dorm before anyone got suspicious. He looked at the time using the weak light of the moon, before falling back into a deep sleep.

Albus woke up, and snuggled closer to Gellert. This didn't vanquish the heavy feeling in his heart, but it made it slightly more bearable. Gellert stirred, wrapping his arms tightly around Albus, almost as if he was afraid to let go. Albus poked him lightly, trying to wake his sleepy boyfriend up. Gellert mumbled something and batted Albus' hand away. Albus tried again and was once again batted away. Albus grinned as an idea formed in his head. He wriggled out from Gellert's hug and began to kiss his face. He started dotting kisses across his forehead, slowly moving down towards Gellert's lips. Gellert tried to turn his face away, but a determined Albus prevented him from doing so. Just as Albus reached Gellert's lips, Gellert woke up and slid his hand to grip the back of Albus' neck. They kissed lightly for a moment, before Gellert gracefully flipped them over. Their kissing got a little more intimate, before they were interrupted by one of the other boys. He walked into the dorm and groaned as he saw Albus and Gellert kissing again. He said "Please, please don't ban us from our dorm room again. People are trying to live their lives." Albus laughed, as Gellert threw a pillow at the boy's head with surprising accuracy. As it bounced off him, Albus dissolved into a fit of laughter furthered by the movement of Gellert's hands across his stomach.

Albus squirmed to escape the wandering hands, tipping them both off of the tiny bed. They hit the floor with a crash and the other boy laughed loudly. In between giggles he said "That's karma that is. Anyway, what I wanted to tell you was that the storm on the whole blew away during the night so we no longer need escorting everywhere." He motioned towards Albus and continued "He will be able to sneak back to his dorm room if he is quick." They nodded, still lying where they fell on the hard floor. Albus wriggled out from underneath Gellert and ran over to the window. He turned to the watching boy with a sparkle in his eye and said happily "There is snow everywhere! Tomorrow we can go out in it provided the storm doesn't return." Gellert smiled and clambered to his feet. He walked over to Albus and wrapped his arms around the smaller boy, chin resting on Albus' shoulder. He replied "Of course we can! I solemnly swear we go out and olay in the snow. Now we had better worry about sneaking you back to your dorm without anyone noticing." Albus nodded sadly and said "I suppose so." Gellert lightly kissed his cheek and replied "Some day we will be free to live and love together, with no one there to judge or attempt to destroy our love." Albus nodded again, this time far more happily.

They both got changed, Albus furtively hiding Gellert's massive shirt inside of his cloak. He planned to take something to remind himself of his boyfriend, even when not together. After getting dressed, Albus went to say goodbye to the other slytherins. Upon saying goodbye to Bella, she grabbed him into a tight hug and said softly "If you are ever in need of a friend and has not around, come down here and we can hang out." Albus nodded gratefully and hugged her back. She let him go and gave him a reassuring smile. "Now go and don't get caught!" Albus nodded and grinned. "Don't worry. We won't." She waved to him as he bounced bck over to Gellert and grabbed his hand. Albus said "Let's go!" Gellert nodded and they left the slytherin common room.

As they walked into the corridor, Gellert turned to Albus and asked "Ehat was she saying to you?" Albus smiled and tightened his grip on Gellert's hand. He replied "Don't worry. She was just inviting me to come back anytime." Gellert nodded and said "I wl tell you the password each time it changes for future reference." Albus smiled gratefully and replied "Thank you. Next time i will just wait for you there." As they turned into the next corridor, they spotted the defence against the dark arts teacher telling off another Gryffindor student. Albus hurriedly glanced around before darting sideways and tugging on the lions head. He dragged Gellert into the passage that opened up and it shut just as the teacher marched the student past.

Albus turned to Gellert and said strictly "Stay right behind me, this tunnel is dangerous and has many different passages to different parts if the castle. Gellert nodded and they set off, Albus clinging onto Gellert's hand to make sure he didn't get lost. After a few minutes, Albus paused and said quietly "We are in one of the long halls near to the common room. Here we must part as you will get punished harshly for being near to the gryffindor room with no reason. Grindelwald nodded and they kissed softly before parting with the promise of meeting again soon. Albus crept into towards the common room as Gellert hurried away in the other direction.
