Karlie's POV
I wake up in the morning, holding Taylor, her back against me, my arms wrapped around her waist. We had such a great night last night. She opened up to me about a lot of things, and we finally got to have some much-needed one-on-one time. She told me a little about her past, her exes, and she even mentioned Dylan's father. From what she said, he seemed to cause some damage to both her, and Dylan. She seemed to try and steer the conversation from him, not wanting to talk much about him, and I didn't try to push her. I trust that she will tell me in time. I hear my alarm going off, making Taylor stir. It's Wednesday, and the week is halfway over, thankfully. I run my hand up and down her arm lightly, trying to wake her up, we need to get ready for the day.
"Tay, my love, it's time to get up," I whisper, positioning myself over her.
"Mhmm..." she says with her eyes still closed. I kiss her forehead, before getting out of bed.
"Tay, I gotta go to work, okay? You might have to call your driver to take Dylan to school, I can't sign her in for you," I try convincing her to get out of bed.
"Mmmmk...." Is all she says, I roll my eyes and laugh, leaving a kiss on her lips before heading to work.
***************
I'm standing with my door open, waiting for my kids to come, three are already here. I can't help but wait and watch for Taylor and Dylan. Another one of my students walks towards me with their father, I greet them and let the little boy into the classroom.
"Miss Kloss, how is Carter doing? Is he behaving well for you?" His father asks, before walking away.
"Yes, Carter is doing great!" I reply with a smile, trying to keep the conversation short and simple, because I finally spot Dylan and Taylor walking down the hallway.
"I've been worrying about him, could we possibly have a meeting after school?" He asks me full of hope.
"Yes, sure Mr. Jones, we can meet after school to discuss Carter," I reply, knowing I can't deny a parent-meeting. Taylor is waiting behind him to drop of Dylan, listening in on the conversation.
"Could I possibly get your number, Miss Kloss? So I can check in on him?" He says in a flirtatious tone, resting his hand on my shoulder.
"Feel free to call the school and have them transfer you to my classroom, if you would like to check in, Mr. Jones," I say politely, taking a step backwards, crossing my arms.
"Okay, can I ask you something?" He asks, looking slightly down to make eye contact with me, he's maybe one or two inches taller than I.
"What's your question, Mr. Jones?" I ask, trying to be nice.
"Are you single?" He asks, full of confidence, I look back to see Taylor's expression, and she does not seem thrilled.
"Mr. Jones, I am not interested," I politely opt out of answering, because I honestly don't know where Taylor and I stand at the moment. She's staying with me, we kiss and act couple-y, but we've never discussed what this is.
"So, you are single? Let me take you out for a couple drinks, I promise I'm more interesting than you are thinking," he tries.
"Goodbye Mr. Jones, I have other students and parents to talk with," I say firmly.
"Okay, I will talk with you more about this at our meeting after school," he smirks, finally walking away.
"Goodmorning girls," I greet Dylan and Taylor. Dylan hugs my legs, and I hug her back.
