Taylor's POV
It's been a few months now, and no one has recognized Karlie as my girlfriend. Jake never told, and I couldn't be more thankful for that. Yesterday was the last day of school for both Karlie and Dylan, and its summer break. My tour starts tomorrow, and I still have no clue how this is going to work.
I don't think Karlie wants to come with me, and I am a huge wreck. Dylan can come with me, staying with one of my security guards at the hotel while I preform. When her first-grade year is about to begin, I plan and bringing her to my parents' house while I finish out my tour.
I haven't had the chance to talk with Karlie at all about my tour, and I know she knows I'm leaving tomorrow, but I don't know how to ask if she's coming with me, or what's going to happen between us. We are supposed to go out today, Dylan is going to be with my mom while Karlie and I sort things out. At least, that's what I think tonight is about.
"Hello? Anybody home?" I hear my mom yelling from the entryway, after letting herself in. I hear footsteps run down the stairs, assuming it's Karlie, because I am in the kitchen with Dylan, who is eating some cereal.
"Hey, Andrea! Can we talk really quick?" I hear Karlie greet my mother who is still in the entryway. They are close enough to hear at the moment, but the are not in my line of vision.I hear my mom reply yes, and they go upstairs.
What could Karlie possibly want to talk with my mother about alone? Should I be worried? Should I go up there?
"Mommy, Grandma is here!" Dylan says excited, probably hearing what I just did.
"Yes baby, she is, you're going to go with her today, and spending the night with her!" I remind her, trying to make sure she is excited.
"Yay!" She shouts, her mouth full of food, "Why did mom need to go talk to her?" Dylan questions.
"I'm not sure baby," I tell her, and we hear their feet coming down the stairs, and walking into the kitchen, "Well hello!" I greet my mother with a hug, "What was that all about?" I ask Karlie, who's face is bright red.
"Nothing sweetie," my mom answers for Karlie. I don't believe her, especially because of how weird Karlie is acting right now. She is sitting down at the table with Dylan, red cheeks, and seemingly anxious, "Dylan, are you all done? We got a big day planned!" She tells my daughter, and Dylan swallows the rest of her food quickly, taking care of her bowl and running to my mom.
"Bye mommy," Dylan hugs me after she is done putting her shoes on.
"Bye sweetie, I'll see you tomorrow, be good for grandma," I tell her, kissing her head.
"Bye mom," she runs over to Karlie, hugging her tight as well.
"Bye Dyl, I'll see you tomorrow," Karlie hugs her back, kissing her cheek before letting go of her. Dylan runs back to the door, waiting for my mom.
"Bye Taylor," my mom hugs me tightly, "Have a good day," she says, kissing my cheek. This is weird, she never does stuff like this, especially when we are going to see each other in the morning. She goes over to Karlie, hugging her as well, and whispering something to her, before letting go and walking out of the door with Dylan.
"Why are you acting so weird?" I ask, walking over to Karlie, wrapping my arms around her neck.
"I'm not," she lies to me, her cheeks still red.
"Yes you are, you're all nervous and anxious about something, is everything okay?" I ask her, concerned, "what did you and my mom talk about?" I question.
