After a few hours, the operation is finished "Time of death, 4:36 am" The doctor said to the nurse as he covered the body, he took a deep breath before opening the door, "how are they" Greggy immediately asked him "We did our best, I'm sorry for the lost" The doctor said making everyone cried as Greggy remained petrified "but" the doctor added
"Anong but doc" Imelda asked him while crying "the operation went successful and Celestine survive" the doctor said and Greggy is still processing what he just heard "doc, tell me na nagsisinungaling ka, hindi pa patay yung asawa ko" Greggy cried "I'm sorry Mr Araneta" the doctor said before leaving
Greggy walked out while the rest of the family is still crying, he reached the morgue and he took a deep breath before entering, the surroundings is cold and full of corpses, he saw her body and he lift the cover of revealing her pretty face
"Mahal, I'm already here, napapasarap ata yung higa mo jan bumangon ka na please" Greggy said while caressing her face "Mahal gising na please, nagtatampo ka pa ba sa akin, mahal sabihin mo lang susuyuin kita, sige na please" Greggy cried as he hugged her body "mahal next month na yung eighteenth birthday ng anak natin, bakit hindi ka manlang umabot" Greggy cried
"See I'm still wearing our promise ring and I'll make sure that I'll never remove this promise" Greggy cried while hugging Irene's dead body "How can you leave so fast hon, nag promise ka pa sa anak natin na mag-bonding pa kayo, pero mukhang aasa siya sa wala pag nagising siya" Greggy said "Hon I'll keep your last will and testament, I'll protect Celestine with all my heart, hindi ko hahayaang may manakit sa anak natin promise ko yan sayo and kahit nasa heaven ka na, I'll never replace you, no one can replace you sa heart namin ni Celestine" Greggy said as he kissed Irene's forehead for the last time
He left the morgue and go back where his family is "Pare condolence from our family to yours" Philip said to Greggy, but Greggy just nodded his head, the Marcos family is now in the morgue to visit Irene
Greggy is thinking a better way on how to tell Celestine the situation without hurting her, "Mr Araneta, your daughter is already awake" One nurse said to Greggy as Elvira rubbed his shoulder and giving him a supporting smile "don't worry kuya me and patty is here for you" Elvira said to her brother as Greggy took a deep breath before entering the room
He opened the door and Greggy wiped his tears immediately, as he sat down on the chair beside the bed "h-hi daddy" Celestine greeted him with a weak smile "Hi nak, how are you" Greggy asked him, he already lose Irene, he can't take it if he also lose Celestine "I'm fine daddy it's a little Masakit sa chest pero yung tahi lang naman" Celestine said
"Anyway daddy where is mommy" Celestine suddenly asked making Greggy uncomfortable, he don't know how to answer, "she's resting na anak" that's all what Greggy said "oh, I guess I have to wait for her to wake up" Celestine said obliviously "no that's not what I meant anak, your mommy is already resting in peace" Greggy said to Celestine, there's no reason for him to lie
He can't hide someone's death forever, "very imposible, mommy is not dead" Celestine said stubbornly not believing the fact that Irene is dead "I'm not lying anak, why would I joke, in something as serious as that" Greggy said "N-no d-daddy, tell me this is a dream" Celestine started crying
Celestine removed all the wires and apparatus around her body "anak please stop doing that" Greggy said worriedly as he tried to stop Celestine "D-daddy I want to see her please" Celestine pleaded as she tried to stand up, but her body give up making her fall in the floor
"Anak" Greggy said as he helped Celestine "daddy let go of me please, hindi pa patay si mommy, I want to see my mommy please" Celestine said as she try to get off from the tight hug "anak please kumalma ka, wala na si mommy mo, ano ang gusto mo kukunin ko basta kumalma ka lang" Greggy cried "no, I want my mommy, I don't want anything I only want my mommy" Celestine cried as Greggy calmed her down
"I want her here daddy please, I want her here with me alive, I want her daddy" Celestine cried and Greggy just hugged her tight "Shhhhh anak calm down for daddy please, I already lose your mom, I can't afford to lose you too anak" Greggy cried while hugging his daughter
"Daddy, si mom-" Celestine can't even finish what she's about to say, all she can do now is cry and mourn over her dead mother
Meanwhile, Imee and the rest is watching Greggy calm Celestine down, they feel bad for Celestine, "Mommy how do you think will Celestine accept everything" Imee asked Imelda "she'll blame herself for sure" Imelda said while wiping her tears "let's just hope that it'll not go far" Bongbong said
"I know what you mean bongets, for sure Greggy will not let that happen naman, nawala na asawa niya hindi niya hahayaang pati si Celestine mawala" Liza said to them while wiping her tears
"Mrs Marcos, I want you to sign the death certificate of Mrs Araneta" one nurse said as Imelda walked out with her, "Hi Josefina ko" Imee said as Celestine just stared at her with no emotion and stare at the wall again "anak do you want to eat first" Greggy asked her but Celestine just remained silent
Greggy tried to feed her but Celestine just stared at the spoon "I don't want to eat" Celestine said with no emotion "but you have to anak please" Greggy said to Celestine "sabing ayaw ko nga diba, hindi ba kayo nakakaintindi nun" Celestine shouted
"Leave me alone" Celestine said to them "bu-" Celestine cutted Greggy off "Please daddy, lumabas muna kayo" Celestine pleaded, they don't want Celestine to throw massive tantrums, they left Celestine in the room
Oncee they all got out Celestine poured all the tears that's been threatening to fall down, "Mommy, why did you left me so early" Celestine whispered, Celestine tried to pinch herself to make sure it's not a dream, but it's no use it's really true
After a few minutes, Greggy Entered the room "Can I visit mommy" she asked her father "are you sure" he asked her for reassurance "yes daddy, I'm sure" Celestine said, Greggy helped her sat down on her wheelchair and cover her with Irene's scarf
They arrived at the morgue and Celestine took a deep breath before entering, she saw her mother's corpes, she removed the cloth and she saw Irene's pale face
