Charlie gave the cops a sly grin, beginning to dart into the woods. Although, she was stopped by one another officer, causing her to laugh slightly. But when the officer tried to reach for her and cuff her, she dodged out of the way, putting her arms up defensively. "Yo! Powell! Call your guard dog off, you know I don't like cuffs." Charlie spoke, giving the chief a side glance while she spoke, slowly walking backward and away from the cop that was slowly closing in on her.

"Charlie, just go with them. Don't give them anymore reason as to arresting you." Max hissed from the side, walking away with the officer which held onto her upper arm. Charlie just shrugged slightly, not exactly wanting to go away with the officer willingly.

"Hey there, Charlotte." Officer Callahan spoke from behind her, grabbing hold of both of her arms and placing them into cuffs. It wasn't the first rodeo with Charlie, after all. Throughout the past year, she had been getting in trouble nearly every other week with the Hawkins PD, causing them to become quite familiar with each other.

"It's Charlie." She argued whilst rolling her eyes, beginning to walk when he shoved her forward. "Hey, no need for the shoving." Charlie turned around to face officer Callahan, though, was met with the chief next to Callahan. "Hey there, chief. You bringing me to the station or home?" She questioned, turning back around and watching where she stepped. In case he said home, she got ready to bolt, but he didn't answer her, causing her to come to a halt. "At least tell me that." Her voice was no longer cocky and the sly grin on her face was gone, causing Powell to roll his eyes.

"The Wheeler's. Now walk." He ushered, turning the youngest Harrington around and shoved her slightly into walking.

"I can walk on my own." She spoke, her head leaning back and toward the sky as she walked. The constant shoving was getting irritating to her, and she obviously knew how to walk on her own.

"Oh hell no!" Charlie yelled, spotting her mother when she walked into the front door. She attempted to turn around, though, was shoved back in by one of the officers behind her. "What the fuck are you doing here?" Charlotte questioned loudly as the officers unlocked the hand cuffs behind her. "Bad choice there, boys." Charlie spoke quietly, immediately shoving her elbow back and into one of the officer's stomachs, causing him to double over. Taking the chance that she had, she dodged around him and bolted for the door.

But when another officer stood in front of the door and multiple other officers including chief Powell surrounded her, she gave up, putting her hands up defensively. "Don't you fucking look at me like that." Charlie sneered at her mother once the officers around her disbanded, making her way over to the couch to sit by her friends.

"Act up like that again and you're going to the station. Got it?" Chief Powell stated, staring Charlie dead in the eye. Though, she refused to look at him, her vision trained on the ground. At any time her mother could have showed up, but of course, she had to choose now. Powell gave up on picking on Charlie, beginning to question the four teenagers which sat on the couch. "What exactly were you all doing at the lake?"

"Going for a walk." Charlotte spoke almost immediately, her eyes coming back up from the floor and meeting her mothers. Though, she quickly diverted her eye sight before she would start screaming at her mother.

"A walk? At 9:00 p.m.?" Callahan questions, staring at the children with an annoyed expression.

"To the lake." Dustin squeaked out, Charlie lowering her head in disappointment at how unconvincing Dustin was being. "We were gonna-- take a little swim. Little night swim." Dustin's voice was high pitched, causing everyone to give a slight smile to the police in reassurance- all besides Charlie, who still had her eyes focused on the ground.
