"I know what happened!"
"Yeah, we all know now." Phil agreed with a shrug, and Felix was only then able to realize he was being crowded by everyone in the room.
"Wait, what?" Felix questioned.
"You've been unconscious for about...half an hour? Cry told us everything." Phil explained with a small, awkward smile.
"What?!" Felix repeated.
"Uh...hey, Felix." Cry spoke up, stepping out in front of his Swedish friend.
"Cry!" Felix shouted, jumping up and practically tackling the masked man. Cry held his balance, but Felix spoke again before he could say anything. "What the fuck did you do?!"
"I didn't do anything, on purpose at least. I just made a computer program and the virus-" Cry was cut off again.
"Appeared, evolved, and kicked your ass?" The radio, now known as the MAD virus commented with a maniacal giggle.
"Oh look...our torturer is a Pokémon." Joey pointed out, receiving strange looks and a chuckle or two from everyone else in the room.
"Ignore him, his head still hurts; he's probably loopy." Shane said, shushing the blonde.
"Anyways...enough with the happy reunion! The fact of the matter is: you're all still trapped here with no way out!" MAD shouted in interruption.
"That's where you're wrong!" Cry retorted.
"What do you think you're talking about?" MAD snapped.
"Yeah, what are you talking about? I don't know if you noticed after falling from the ceiling, but..." Mark questioned, banging a fist against the door a few times to show it was locked tightly.
"Before I collapsed through the vents, I took a trip to the main control room. I couldn't find any way to shut you down, but I did find the blueprints to this place. The ones that the builders were told to add on without me knowing. I know exactly how to shut you down!" Cry explained.
He ran over to the Death Penalty platform, halting just to the right of it. To the shock of the others, he punched a hole in the wall, revealing multiple wires. "One tug and you're gone and the whole building resets and unlocks!" He exclaimed, grabbing the wires to make a move on his threat.
Suddenly, MAD let out a loud, long laugh as Felix felt a pressure around his left leg. Looking down, the blond noticed a wire that looked an awful lot like the one that had dragged Mark into the control room after he went unconscious.
"As soon as a feel a single tug, your little bro gets electrocuted with the last of my energy." MAD threatened.
Felix let out a whimper as fear and anger filled his entire being. He looked down at the wire around his leg, following its trail out the door with his eyes. He gulped, staring directly at his masked friend to see just what would be done. What would happen to him.
"Felix!" Nearly everyone shouted out, though not a single soul was brave enough to make a move.
Cry's glare at the radio could be felt even under his mask. "I can't..." He muttered.
"Are you fucking insane?! If you let go, he'll kill all of us, not just me. Don't worry about it, Cry. Don't worry about me. Just finish off the fucker." Felix pleaded, gazing at Cry with stern blue orbs.
Cry paused, standing silent for what felt like hours. "I'll make you a deal, then..." He offered finally.
"Hm?" MAD hummed.
"I'll go into there," he pointed to the Death Penalty with the free hand, "as soon as I'm down there, you let go of Felix. Then I die, and someone else will pull the wires and get rid of you."
"Cry, no!" Krism spoke up, but was fairly ignored.
"Well, if I'm doomed either way...I want that to be the thing I see last." MAD laughed again.
"Cry, just pull it now!" Felix commanded, but was ignored as well.
"Minx, take the wires." Cry requested, looking over to the woman.
"I can't let you-" Minx was cut off by the same man.
"Minx!"
The woman looked around at the others, receiving slow nods from Krism and Mark, with solemn looks from the others. She sighed, trudging over and taking Cry's place, her knuckles turning white around the wires.
Cry took two steps, standing on the platform. He looked over his friends, tears falling down from under the mask.
"Cry-" Felix began, but the brunet stopped him.
"Goodbye, Pewds." He resumed. He opened his mouth to continue goodbyes, but it was too late, the platform was lowering down.
Along with it, the flat screen TV slid down. The picture sparked to life, showing Cry sitting in the middle of a dark room without any restraints.
The radio boomed with disgusting, maniacal laughter. The wire around Felix's leg loosened and slithered away, causing the Swede to jump away from it.
On screen, a wire identical to the one that had just left appeared, sliding up close to Cry's face. It removed the mask and moved away. Cry's face remained stotic surprisingly, his true face not being seen for so long. The object was brought to a device that resembled a large knife sharpener. The mask was entered into it, sparks flying in every direction. Apparently, the idea was to sharpen the mask, and use it to murder its owner.
But Felix wasn't one to allow that to happen.
The blond leapt into action, his body moving before his brain was able to. He ran and pushed Minx out of the way, ceasing the wires himself. Only then did the laughter come to a halt.
"What?!" MAD's voice rang out, but it was too late for the virus to respond.
Felix ripped the wires out of their place, throwing them down to the ground. The lights flickered off, and the locks could be heard being undone. The TV screen flicked off, leaving Cry's current fate unknown.
"bETRayAL! YoU lyING liTTle FUckS! ThiS iSn'T thE LAsT yOU'lL sEE Of mE-" MAD's voice shouted, though it sounded glitched and distorted, before sparking out completely.
Everyone sat still and silent, unsure of really what had happened. A kind of respect filled the air, though the man deserving it was currently in a state of shock.
"Why the hell did no one else think of that...?" Mark spoke up eventually, though no one wanted to respond.
Felix peeked his head over the Death Penalty, which was now nothing more than a dark hole in the ground. "Cry...?" The blond called out into it.
...
...
...
"Felix...?" Came the response.
Felix felt a rush of relief wash over him. "Hold on, we'll find a way to help you climb up!"
"What the hell did you do?!" Cry exclaimed.
"I'll explain after you get up here!" Felix replied.
"Wait, wait, we did it? That's it? We're alive, we're going to live?" Phil ranted on with multiple questions.
"We still have to survive in the post-apocalypse. And figure out who killed Toby. And figure out whether it's Mark or Jon that's a killer. And fix up Joey-" Shane pointed out, but was cut off by Felix.
"The worst part is over. We did it."
