"Joey! Joey!" Shane shouted again.
"...S-Shane?" Joey said quietly, opening his eyes.
"Thank God you're alive. Guys, help me get him into the infirmary." Shane commanded.
Shane picked Joey up into a standing position with the help of Mark. The group all rushed down to the infirmary. The majority of the people watched as Shane and Mark laid Joey upon one of the cots. Shane grabbed a rag a began wiping blood off of the blonde's face.
"What happened to you?!" Krism spoke for the rest of the group.
"I...uh..." Joey mumbled, then trailed off. His eyes slowly closed.
"Joey!" Shane shouted once he noticed the blonde man's closed eyes.
Phil crouched down to Joey, checking his breathing and heartbeat. "Don't worry, it's alright. He's just sleeping." The Brit assured.
"Good...alright, who did this?! This obviously wasn't an accident, so who tried to nearly kill him?" Shane accused, his gaze traveling to Mark and Jon, whether purposefully or not.
No one spoke for quite a while, until Felix decided to break the silence. "Shane, so you really think if someone tried to kill another person that they would just come out and say it? It was probably that damn radio anyways." He pointed out.
"Nope! Not me! It's not time for a punishment yet, so this is one of you fuckers' doing." The radio debated.
"So...one of us really...?" Phil trailed off, not wanting to admit what happened.
"Obviously. I guess I won't ask who did again. But...can a couple of you go and look at the room he was in or something? I doubt all of you did this, so, one of you should be able to figure out what happened, right? I want to be able to know before Joey wakes up, in case, you know, he doesn't..." Shane requested.
"Yeah, we'll check it out for you, Shane, don't worry about it." Felix said, speaking for the rest of the group as well.
"Thanks." Shane replied, forcing a small smile upon his face.
Felix nodded, then lead the group- excluding Shane, Minx, and Krism, whom also volunteered to look after Joey- down the hall and near the gym. The remaining four spread around the room, looking around at everything. However, 'everything' mostly referred to merely the barbell hanging from the door frame, and the small stain of Joey's blood on the floor.
Felix walked up to the barbell tied to a string to inspect it. He reached out a hand, tugging on the string holding the weight lightly. Unfortunately, this caused a chain reaction of events. Firstly, the entire contraption collapsed. It hit the ground with a clank. Before it could smash Felix's foot, the Swede bounced backwards with a somewhat girly shriek.
"Are you okay?" Mark asked, having to hold in a small chuckle.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine." Felix answered, laughing a bit at himself.
Felix bent down and took the open end of the string in his hand. It had a piece of duct tape tightly stuck to it, which must have explained how it was hanging from the doorway in the first place.
"So, wait, if the barbell was just hanging from a string there, how did it end up hitting Joey in the face?" Mark questioned, not comprehending how the whole thing could have happened.
"Shouldn't you be telling us? You are the one that wasn't with us when he shouted." Jon replied coldly.
Mark opened his mouth to rebuttal, but Felix spoke before he could say anything. "Come on guys, not now. Finding proof of who attacked him is more important than blaming others right now." The blonde pleaded with the two.
"Sorry..." Jon apologized to both Felix and Mark.
"Hey guys, I think we're looking over something." Phil spoke out. He crouched down on the ground and picked up something out of place. A scrap of paper.
"What's that?" Felix asked.
"It says, 'look behind you'." Phil claimed.
"Really? So someone really just tricked Joey into turning around before smacking him with a barbell?" Jon questioned, scrunching up his face in confusion.
"It looks like kinda...swung it at him." Mark suggested, using his arm to mock a swinging motion.
"...why the hell would anyone wanna do that when they could just hit him instead? Why would anyone tape this to the ceiling in the first place?" Felix asked, slight sarcasm in his tone.
"Well, remember that we were all in the kitchen when this happened. So maybe, the person wasn't here? Or rather, they couldn't have been here." Phil said, thinking aloud.
"Yeah, so the thing flew onto Joey's forehead." Jon responded, his voice dripping with playful sarcasm.
"Then again, maybe not." Phil chuckled lightly.
"Hey! Guys! Joey's woken up! And we're pretty sure he'll stay awake this time!" A female's voice exclaimed from the hallway.
Just a moment later, Minx was in the room, an excited and happy gleam in her eyes.
"Let's go!" Mark exclaimed. He ran quickly out of the room, followed by the rest of his peers.
Once everyone made the short journey back to the infirmary, they landed worried eyes upon Joey whom was now sitting up the his cot, with a concerned Shane next to him. The blonde was holding an object in each hand, a glass of water in his left, and a rag for his continuously bleeding forehead. Other than the blood, he seemed to be alright.
"Hey, Joey. You alright?" Felix asked.
"Ugh...not really." Joey grunted, shifting around on his bed.
"Do you, uh, remember what happened to you? Who smacked you with that thing?" Felix questioned.
"...n-no one." Joey responded.
"What? What are you talking about?" Shane cut in.
"No one hit me. I saw a piece of paper on the ground that said something like, 'look behind you'. So I did. The next thing I know, there's a random weight swinging at me and no one behind it. It was too late to move, so it hit me, and I blacked out. That's all that happened." Joey retold his experience, knowing he sounded insane.
"And you didn't see it before?" Minx's turn to ask a question came.
"No! Nothing, no one was there!" Joey insisted, then had to hold his head from the ache it caused.
"So, what happened?" Phil asked to everyone, earning merely a shrug from Joey and silent confusion from everyone else.
"Hey, I have an idea...why don't we go into the trial room?" Felix spoke up.
"Why in the hell would we do that?" Shane questioned, concerned of why anyone would think that.
"Well, think about it. Every time we were in there, we solved something. Maybe it will give us the push we need to figure out what happened." Felix explained.
"Well...it couldn't hurt, could it?" Krism spoke up.
Slowly, the rest of the group agreed. Hopefully the surroundings would be enough motivation to somehow figure out all that had gone on.
The group traveled into the trial room, confusion, hope, and ignorance filling the air around them.
