There went my sweaty palms again.

I really needed to get that checked out. I mentally noted that in my head and looked at the position I was in. I was standing at the door, all primped up and such, waiting for the sexiest man alive to take me out to a date. I was freaking the flip out. If you were about to go on a date with one of the most famous people on Earth, wouldn’t you freak out too?

And then there was the small chance that he would recognize me from the concert. It was slim, but still possible. I had gotten a text that he would be there in five minutes. It had been about four and thirty-seven seconds. I was flipping. I was breathing funny, but I put my game face on. I was ready as I would ever be. I looked down at my dark purple sleeveless dress. I shivered and then remembered that I had left my leather jacket upstairs. I darted upstairs and into the room. I grabbed my jacket and then tripped on my black converse’s laces.

I angrily got down and tied it back up. I then put on my jacket and made my way to the stairs. I made it to the top of the stairs, and then I realized it. I saw him, at the door, talking to Leah. I cleared my throat and they both immediately looked up. Leah got the biggest smile on her face, while Kyle sort of just looked at me with a plain face. Or maybe it was more like a stare. Not just any kind of stare. The kind of stare that a dude gives a girl when he thinks she’s beautiful. Ha. Who was I kidding? He didn’t think I was beautiful, did he?

Now, he was looking pretty damn fine. Seeing Kyle Stone in a tux, waiting for you at the bottom of some stairs made me feel like I was in a Disney movie. We were going to go out and we would live happily ever after. I smiled and felt my cheeks heat up. I slowly made my way downstairs, since my converses were also wedges. When I got to the bottom, I automatically gained all of my nerves back. I glance at Leah, who was standing to the left of Justin. She gave me a smile and thumbs up. I smiled back. And then I was in front of Kyle. He smiled, I melted. Like always.

“Hey,” he said. I opened my mouth to say something but I really couldn’t. He was just too good looking to talk in front of.

“H-hi,” I squeaked. He chuckled. Okay can’t you picture a fat hamster being named Chuckles? With brown fur and a white belly. You know what I mean.

“You don’t have to be like that you know,” he replied as Leah slowly walked upstairs.

“Like what?” I fiddled with my hair.

“Nervous,” he said, “I’m just Kyle Stone.”

I stifled a laugh, “Yeah, just Kyle Stone.”

He then looked straight into my eyes.

“You look beautiful.” And that’s how I died. At least I thought I had died and gone to heaven. I gaped and my mouth hung open for a while until I caught myself and closed it. I dint want a fly to go in there into my realm. He hadn’t broken eye contact yet.

“Uh,” I felt like my palms were sweating and shaking so much that my hands were about to squirt around like one of those moving sprinklers.

He got a worried look on his face, “Oh do you not want me to…?”

“What? Oh, course not it’s just that…” I felt my cheeks heat up, “nobody’s ever said that to me before…” He looked relieved after I said that.

“That’s surprising,” he said, as he reached out for my hand. I blushed for the zillionth time in that five minutes and took his hand. I felt chills run through my body when we held hands. Our fingers entwined perfectly, which makes sense since both of our hands are extremely and oddly large. I totally just ruined the moment, didn’t I? Well, I didn’t want to sound like some sappy chick. This isn’t the tale of a princess, or some sort of rip-off version of The Notebook.
