Nick entered the overcrowded bar with his nose crooked from the excessive smell of alcohol and sweat. He looked around, specifically towards the counter where the bartenders mostly stood or stand until an individual was ordering for drinks. Then just when he thought Lilac might have gone home or somewhere else, he saw her emerge from the inner part of the small bar. She wore a very tired and hurting expression on her face. Then her eyes met his_she looked away instantly and went to one of her coworkers_in the same outfit as hers. A black short skirt which reached halfway of her thigh and a tight exposing white blouse. He didn't like her in the dress in spite of her extreme slenderness and tallness. And the idea of the dirty womanizers spying on her honey tanned cleavage only worsened the case. Today is going to definitely be the last day she was going to work there. There was no way he was going to let her work in a dangerous confusing and unsafe place as this.

"Is that not Nick Firestorm coming closer to us?" Silver asked her frustrated looking friend. "Yes it's him, and so what? Let him come." Lilac fumbled.
"Are you ok? And where do you think you are going leaving me here alone?" Silver yelled at Lilac when she was halfway back towards the staff room she had just vacated. "Nowhere, this is your phone. Thanks" Lilac quickly returned Silver's phone and scuttled away from her.
But before she could make it to the room_Nick was already behind her holding her by the waist. Then she begun to wonder why on earth he liked holding her by the waist. "Let go off me!" Lilac yelled at him struggling to release herself but couldn't as it increased the pain in her left shoulder.
Nick released her when he realized his action was hurting her. "I'm sorry I just wanted to make sure you were ok?" He whispered.
"As you can see I'm ok! And I don't need your pity. Just stop pursuing me. It's irritating, it's teenagers who stalk each other not adults like you." She blurted distressingly turning her back to him as she entered the small room and made herself comfortable on the chair she had vacated minutes ago.

"I'm sorry. I just..,"
Lilac cut him, "stop being sorry. It's not your fault and business I was shot. And if it's about that night then I will be glad to tell you it didn't hurt me. So just leave."
"I know you are pregnant." Nick barely uttered.
"You don't know anything, so just stop saying things you aren't sure of. I'm not pregnant." Lilac yelled uncontrollably.
"The doctors confirmed it" Nick got closet to her.
"I don't care about what the doctors confirmed. All I know is I'm not pregnant." Lilac retorted.
"Lilac please, calm down. I know you are going through a lot of pain right now. And it's all my fault for not taking good care of my nephew and niece." Nick was so surprised about his newly found patience. He was known for a very impatient person_so it was really unbelievable he was not already out of her sight or speaking back at her. If someone had told him there was going to be a day which he would tolerate a whole lot of rubbish and temper tantrum from someone especially a woman, he would have betted with his life and entire money the person was bluffing.
"You and I know you are carrying my child. Calm down please" Nick held her soft tender palms in his against her will. Lilac gasped from pain and confusion, then screamed and yelled, "it's not your child. It's my lover's. I slept with him the morning before I met you here. Its not yours. Just go away! Your presence is suffocating me already!" Lilac couldn't speak anymore as the lump in her throat was begging to hurt her.
"I don't believe you! When I touched you that night. Lilac I knew it was your first time. You couldn't have been a virgin if you had slept with your lover."
"And so what" Lilac barely uttered, "it's my baby and I say you aren't the father so go away and be with your happy proud rich girlfriend. I'm just a nobody and I've nothing to offer you.,.,can't you see. I'm a nobody! A dumb nobody....I couldn't even make it to a country side college or a cheap one. Can't you see! No one wants me....so just save yourself by walking away from me until it's too late...." Lilac passed her hand distressingly through her hair.
"I don't care! I just want to be a good father to my baby."
Lilac shook her head in disapproval, "you can't! What if he turns out to be like me...then you won't want him anymore just like nobody wants me. Can't you just see you can't face it..."
Nick cut her by placing his finger on her lip to stop her from talking. Then he wiped the tears that was forming on her face and draining down her cheeks. "I don't care" he caressed her cheeks as he looked closely into her beautiful lilac eyes. "We are going to be fine. Me, you and our baby" he whispered, closing the distance between them_brushing the strand of her chestnut hair away from her face. "Let's try for the baby. he needs both of his parent" Nick mumbled seductively as he brought his mouth closer to her lower lip, still enjoying and taking advantage of her quietness. As his mouth was about to touch hers_a phone vibrated then rang from his side pocket, the tone wasn't his and the young lady in front of him was suddenly looking very strange. More like she had found something that belonged to her_then he remembered it was the iPhone6plus that he was supposed to have returned to her.
Nick shifted slightly away from her as he brought the phone out of his pocket and suddenly stopped to give it a close look when he saw the image of a familiar man, then another one appeared_also familiar. He now remember, they were the images of the robbers that had attacked Lilac at the cinema. So why was she having their images on her phone, unless of course she was involved with them. To be precise had employed them to confiscate money from him by trying to kidnap and hurt his niece. He was suddenly regretting his calm demeanor towards her. She wasn't what everyone thought she was. She was no different from the other women who tried to get involved with him just for his money. "Is that the best way you could try and get money from my family and me?" Nick said gingerly.
"Excuse me?" Lilac snatched her phone from him immediately she recognized it. And the image that greeted her explained what he was trying to put across. It was really funny he thought she was responsible for the attack.
"That's why I told you to stay away from me and my baby." She sniff in order to breath in more clear oxygen, the room was just too small and the handsome man in front of her was suddenly seeming to gasp in all of the air in it.
"I'm not what you think I am. So stay away from me." She rushed out of the room leaving Nick totally speechless.
The phone rang before she could make it out of the bar, and this time it was a call from Susan. "Hello grandma, it's me Lilac."
"Check your side pocket, the guy I sent slipped something very small into it since you couldn't stay gentle."
"Ok! " Lilac slipped her hands into her side pocket and brought out a small piece of paper from it. And when she opened, saw two identical set of tiny dot-like objects. "What is it?"
"Cut the call and and insert it into your ear. That's how we are going to communicate, it's like an earphone, a wireless one."
Lilac quickly obeyed then when was done spoke, "so can you hear me now?"
"Yes Lilac, very clear." Susan coughed slightly, "now listen to me carefully_look at your phone, the last image must be the image of the masked man. And as we are speaking he is lodging in the hotel right beside the bar you are in. Coincidence right? I know! But in this business there is nothing like coincidence and luck. There is only one thing, and that is_its clear he is also now after you after what you pulled out on him. I think he finds you as a threat. So it would be better if you pay him a surprise visit. You know what I mean?"
Lilac gasped, "yes I get you! But I have no weapon_so how I'm I supposed to fight him?"
"Seriously?" Susan yelled, "like I was the one who was eager to play some heroine position for a total stranger." Susan cupped her lips together to think of a better way of explaining her plan to her granddaughter, "see! You don't need a weapon now! If you did I would have gladly sent you one. But look back into your left pocket_there is another thing I want you to put on. If this person is really closed to the children then you must as well know you need evidence to prove him guilty."
"Like I believe in the law or like it has ever been just to me!" Lilac frowned then added, " I will just finish him up. You know what my Dady calls that? He calls it clearing the whole board to run your opponent out of choices and chances and moves."
Susan was totally shocked at the vicious statement of his granddaughter, "just put the thing on your pupil gently. It's going to record all that you look at or see. But it won't be able to record sound."
"You have only ten minutes to get there and finish up because it looks like he will be relocating soon. Plus he is officially supposed and thought to be in Oklahoma for a business trip."
"Ok, I'm off." Lilac begun moving towards the hotel right beside the bar as she continued to communicate with her grandmother. "So I'm I supposed to keep in touch with you?"
"Yes! I have the blueprint of the hotel, and so you would need my help to evacuate the premises, but until that time you are on your own. So bye for now. When the time comes I'm going to alert you through your ear phones."
