*here's some background on the main characters and their relationship!!*

maggie lawrence had always loved flying, she felt free when she was in the air, like nothing else mattered. a few years back she graduated from top gun as the best in her class, throughout her time at top gun she met bradley bradshaw, bradley always wished he was as naturally talented as the young mags but he just couldn't quite let go of his past. when he was little his dad passed away due to a flight error, pete "maverick" mitchell was the one flying. goose, bradley's dad, was mavericks back seater. maverick was cleared of all charges and it was all deemed an accident. maverick tried to care for bradley as best he could, but when bradley was almost old enough to enlist, his mom passed away and he was all alone, he felt that his only option was going to the navy, following in the footsteps of his old man in an attempt to be closer to him. when bradley was finally old enough to enlist in the navy, maverick pulled his papers, setting bradley back 4 years. when he finally got into the naval academy, he was given his callsign, rooster, to honor his dad. he excelled at everything and he got invited to top gun where he could train with others who were just as good as he was. he knew it was an amazing opportunity and he went in with the expectations of being the best, what he didn't expect was the beautiful maggie "princess" lawrence, she was an amazing pilot who feared nothing, she took every risk. she was just as amazing as her flying, always sassy and stubborn as a mule, she never backed down from a challenge and that intrigued bradley. during their time at top gun they were rivals, always trying to one up eachother. they both received an important call about returning to top gun for an important mission and they both said yes. but bradley bradshaw wasn't the only boy maggie met in topgun, hangman was also in their class. hangman was one of the cockiest and egotistical men that ever existed or so maggie thought. jake seresin is from texas, he's a southern boy and despite his giant ego, he's respectful and caring deep down. the first time around hangman got 3rd in their class, each of their scores being so close to the others the leaderboard would switch everyday. hangman and maggie did not get along, part of him was afraid of her but the other part was intrigued. he wanted to understand her, to see what made her be the way she is. will he get the opportunity to know her better this time around? or will rooster beat him to the punch?
