I stumbled into the final suite, tripping over my feet. There were two perps, and they both turned to me, guns up. They had their masks off. "Oh--" I hiccuped. "'Scuse me!" I saw the four hostages, one woman, one man, and two kids. The man had a black eye and the woman was crying, trying to sit in front of the children, who were looking around in fear. "I seem-- hic-- to have stumbled into the lux'ry swee-eet," One of the shooters lowered his gun. "Can-- hic-- one of you handsome boys show me to the exit-- hic-- pretty please?"

I fell against the one who put his gun down. He patted me down.

"She's unarmed, and I can't feel a bug or mic or anything, no badge, no bulletproof vest," the man told the other. "Drunk as fuck, ugh,"

"Put 'er with the others," the other ordered. "Don't bother tying her up, she can barely stand,"

The one I was leaning against tossed me towards where the family of hostages was. My eyes crossed the ceiling became blurred. "I can see my nose," I giggled drunkenly. "Ooooh, there's-- hic-- there's two noses, ehehehee!"

"God, Derrick, shut that bitch up! I can't think!" The farther one yelled. Derrick walked over and grabbed my shoulders.

"Listen up, you little shit," Derrick hissed at me, his saliva getting on my forehead. "You're gonna shut your fucking mouth before I shut it for you, you understand?"

"You got it, bucko!" I cheered, trying to nuzzle my nose into his face.

"Eugh," he groaned pushing me back.

"Help us..." the woman said softly. "He's keeping us hostage,"

I heard her cries but ignored them. "Oh, buddy, oh Derrick, oh buddy, oh boy!" I stumbled to my feet. "You're looking might fine-- hic-- if I do say so m'self, mhm, yes you do!"

"Dammit, Tanner!" Derrick mumbled, barely audible. "I told you to shut up!" he pushed me roughly, and I was slammed against a wall.

"I can get with this," I flirted. "But I think you are I should get some privacy-- hic-- privacy, maybe in the kitchenette? Huh, baby?"

"Derrick, I swear to fucking God, if she says one more word, I'm throwing both of you out the window!!" Tanner boomed.

Warwick popped up from behind the couch and put Tanner in a chokehold.

"Tanner!" Derrick yelled, leaving me. I reached for his wrist and twisted it, hearing his screams of pain. "AUGH!" I heard a gunshot, but it came from Tanner and Warwick.

"Drunk as fuck, huh?" I growled and brought my fist down onto his face. He was immediately knocked out. I put handcuffs on his wrists behind his back.

"AH!" Warwick yelled and I looked over. "Rosa!"

Tanner had him on his knees, with a gun to Warwick's neck. Warwick had a bullet wound in his leg. "Stay back, Rosa,"

"Can't do that, Tanner," I said flatly.

"You don't seem too worried about your buddy here,"

"I haven't been worried since the police academy," I said, my posture relaxed and my arms at my side. I was still unarmed... "And I'm a detective now,"

"Wow..." Tanner laughed. "That s'posed to impress me or somethin'?"

"No..." I said, watching as Warwick slipped a knife into his hand, out of his sleeve. "It's supposed to distract you,"

Warwick pushed the knife into the perp's leg and he screamed in pain. Warwick scootched away, trying not to put weight on his leg.

"Dammit!" Tanner hissed.

"What's going on?!" Anna demanded, coming in with her gun up. "I heard screaming!"

"Anna, it's fine, get back!" Warwick hissed.

Tanner took his gun and aimed it at Anna. Without thinking, I charged at him, tackling the shooter to the ground. Just as I reached him, the gun went off. When I tackled him, the gun flew out of his hand. I rolled him onto his back and Warwick handed me his cuffs. "Anna, you good?"

"Unh..." she replied.

"Rosa, she's hit," Warwick said. "I got him, just go help her,"

"I--"

"I said go!" Warwick yelled and pushed me away. I reluctantly ran over to Anna. The bullet just missed her vest. The wound was just under her left shoulder.

"I... I don't wanna die," Anna said, gripping at my arms.

"Stop talking," I ordered. "Focus on breathing," If the wound was on the arm, I could create a tourniquet, but it's basically on her chest... pressure, of course, but what else could I do? I pressed both of my hands onto her wound. "With your uninjured side's arm, grab your radio," Slowly, she did so. "Turn it on," She pressed a button and it made a noise. "This is Detective Rosa Diaz, does anyone copy?"

"This is Captain Chu, I copy,"

"We have the two shooters in cuffs, but Officer Anna Percy is bleeding out from a bullet would that just missed her vest. Lieutenant David Warwick has a bullet wound to the leg, we need assistance on the sixth floor, the far left luxury sweet," I said as fast as possible.

"Help is on the way," Chu replied. "Nice job, Diaz,"

Dope.
