"Colt, Did you get the video done?" It was now the next day, Monday, August 31st, they only had a few weeks until the 14th of September when they would be going back to College and seeing the terrible things that are their peers.

"Yeah I have the video done, it's just ready for your review and then I'll put it up tomorrow."

"Alright, well let me make some popcorn and we can watch it together."

"Maybe you should invite Lia over."

"She's out with Marce somewhere spending our rent money."

"Or she's just out having fun, not everything revolves around spending something, maybe they're out on a walk or are just in her room watching a movie."

"Or they're out on the beach having the romantic moment that I want with her."

"Wow, obsessed much?"

"Shut up, you've got a girl and a house."

"And? That means nothing aside from having one of my best friends as my fiance." (Finance- that's how I keep seeing it)

"Exactly, you've got the girl while I've been here, trying my hardest."

Colt puts a hand on the boy's shoulder, "Hey, it's not your fault, you've been getting better at dealing with emotions and overall just getting better than what you were eight years ago alright, and, I'm really proud of you Tobias, I really am."

"I am too, I really am proud to get this far."

"And you two are friends now, how amazing is that."

"But I still love her..."

"I know you still love her but you have to take time before fully welding the relationship together, she probably understands that from what she's been learning in her classes."

"That's true."

"Then how about we go and get some food and see if where she's at, you still have her number right?"

"Yeah, why would I have deleted it?" The boy chuckles as he puts his laptop to the side, shutting it before getting up to get his shoes.

"Because I thought you hated her."

"Blatant lie my dear friend, I am very persuasive."

"That's a lie and even I, who is your literal childhood best friend, can see through that." Tobias sharpens his eyes, glaring at the other slightly from his phone screen, hoping it would reflect towards him. "Did you text her?"

"Yeah, she said she was out getting school supplies which I don't understand, doesn't she have a laptop to take all sorts of notes on?"

"That's a codeword for her getting a new sketchbook and art supplies."

"How do you know that?"

"I've gotten to know her over the years, what can I say?"

"Well you know her a bit better than me I guess."

"Once again Tobias, she was terrified of texting you because she still thought you hated her and despised her every waking moment."

"Oh..." Colton hums, tying the last of his shoelaces together before standing up, towering over the seated boy in front of him.

"Now are you going to get ready or what? We're gonna go to IKEA."

"Why are we going to IKEA? At three in the afternoon?" He brings a finger to the band major's mouth, shushing him.

"Well, to get desks of course, and I asked Lianna if she wanted to come while you were texting her sooooo"

"Colton I swear to god."

"Thank me later, it's just going to be her since Marce met up with some friends of hers that are in town as well and will come back whenever."

"Okay." Both of them get the last finishing touches they need before they leave, that includes wallets, keys, jackets, and phones. Lianna was already on her way to the Swedish display case of a décor store. From where their apartment is to the IKEA was at least fifteen to twenty minutes so it wasn't that bad. The girl was at least twenty five minutes from there so that should give the boys time to spare to walk around the first floor a little bit.

Tobias' phone rings at least halfway into their trip to the store, Lianna's name appears on his phone as "Lia ❤️", he picks up the call, holding it to his ear as he hears some form of cursing.

"Hey Tobi."

"Hey."

"So, I'm almost there, give or take fifteen minutes, how far away are you guys?" His eyes glance at the phone GPS that was yelling at them in a British accent on where to go, it says at least nine minutes but it could be wrong.

"Eight minutes, give or take."

"Quit using my wording."

"Quit using my wording." The boy mocks, a grin appearing on his face as his stomach twists with happiness.

"Oh hush up, Colt will agree with me, won't he."

"You're not on speaker, so he has no idea--"

"I can hear your conversation just fine and I do agree with you Lia, Tobias just needs to learn how to shut up a bit sometimes." The girl giggles, giving a small wheeze here and there when she exhales.

"Well I'll see y'all in a bit, love y'all."

"See ya then."

"Bye Lia."

"Bye Tobi, hope you make it here safely." Lianna hangs up the phone and continues down the highway while Tobias just puts his phone back on his lap, trying to hide the blush coming onto his face.

"You really are a lovesick boy." Colton states.
