That Not So Average College Love Story

Part One: Autumn, Chapter Twenty

Both Lianna and Tobias along with the companionship of Juneau go over to Costco, getting whatever Colton needed before racing their way home to hop onto stream, sure they would be a bit over the time that the girl had originally put which was two in the afternoon but at least they were able to make it near that time.

The psych major calls the other boy down to put some of the groceries away which he comes out of his room, sludging down the stairs which concern the two.

"Colt... are you okay?"

"Yeah, just kinda overwhelmed by work at the moment."

"That's understandable, also I'm going to make chicken wings tonight since I got some from Costco, do you want any?"

"Sure, I'll take some, anyways, did you guys get what I requested?"

"Yep." The boy butts into their conversation as Lianna puts some dry food into the dog's bowl near the door. "We got hamburger meat, buns, pickles, ketchup, mustard, and some other things."

"Cool. Hey Lia, you think I could have the get-together this weekend?"

"Sure, I think I have work then so you two will be on your own, hope that's okay with you."

"It is, sorry if that sounded mean or anything."

"Nope, no offense was taken, I know you two are just looking out for me since I don't deal with people all too well."

"Oh well, it's just... yeah that's mostly the reason why we're fine with you not attending." Colton chuckles while averting his eyes, looking back at what he was doing which was putting some of the groceries into the fridge.

"Anyways, while you two finish that up, I'm going to go set my stream up, you're welcome to join, just ping me on Discord and I'll add you to the server."

"Alright, see ya Lia." The girl gives a salute as a goodbye, grinning before running upstairs with Juneau trailing behind her.

"You got lucky Reed."

"How exactly?"

"Because of you, she's gone back to her regular self, plus she's a very lovely girl." The boy hums, taking the hamburger buns out of the Walmart bag that it had resided in.

"I guess so, in the past few weeks that we've been living here, she hasn't had that many panic attacks, only the two that I could remember."

"And the one that happened a few days ago with Kyle when you two got into a fight."

"You mean the one last night? How did you even figure it out?"

"Kyle's a friend of mine, I got introduced to him by Lianna back a few summers ago."

"Before you took me to Toronto?"

"Yeah. Actually, it was before this entire mess happened."

"What mess?" Colton points at his head.

"Before her mental state went down the drain completely?"

"Yep, it was such a scary time too, I was one of the first to be informed about it, Marce and Jacky were the other two asides from Kyle who told me about it. Lianna was in such a bad state that she had to constantly be monitored, I swear she coughed up a lung at one point."

"What do you mean she "had to be monitored"?"

"She couldn't breathe half the time, that's why a lot of the time you'll see her coughing because she can't breathe from stress and her panic disorder. But in recent weeks I haven't seen her cough all that much which is good."
