17.Underground

[Reader] POV

As i woke up, i already noticed that xiao went to the chasm what made me alittle curious and worry about him.

I decided to go to the chasm to make sure hes alright. I packed some food and some medicines in case if he hurt himself. As i looked and packed my stuff, i saw the Veil Ningguang gifted to me. I also packed it in since it maybe be useful.

On my way to the chasm i bumped into someone that i wouldn't expect.

„[Reader]. “

„Ma-.. Zhongli ? What are you doing here? “

„Please make sure that Xiao comes out safely from the underground mines. “

He suddenly told me.

„I'll lend you a special power that will keep you and xiao save. “

He gave me a flower, a Glaze lilly.

„The power will automatically will turn off after all flower petals will fall off and loose their colour.“

He said and i nodded and i gentldy grabbed the glaze lilly and putter it on my hair as a pin.

I saw him smile and walk back to liyue Harbour.

„Be careful.. “

I heard him talking last time before he went back. I sighed and walked to the chasm. I knew that there would he soldiers standinf and the entrance so i walked another path.

As i walked into the chasm, nobody noticing me. I walked to the middle from the chasm.

-Its deep.. -

i thought and sighed and looked down.

„Guess i have to plundge or fly down.. “

I told to myself and grabbed my polearm.

Before i jumped i thought about something.

-how am i suppose to find xiao in the underground mines..-

I thought and stared into the deepness. I looked at the Glaze Lilly, And knew that it would lead me to xiao.

Before i could jump down i remembered that i could teleport in the mines. I sighed and closed my eyes, after i closed my eyes i thought of the heart of the chasm. I opened my eyes and saw a kind of cube area

(the map but the floating pole on the ground)
"You guys didnt saw a red haired lawyer? “

I heard someone talking, i hid behimd a cube. And saw people.

The traveler with paimon and a guys with some horns and a green haired girl with a mask.

„Nope? We didnt saw anyone here expect you two! “

The big dude sighed.

I saw that the green haired girl nod to my direction and looked at the traveler, i hid very fast and saw how the two strangers went to my direction. I quickly hid behind a different cube.

As the two disappeared into the direction i looked at the travelers direction.

And saw a Red haired girl

„Weow! That was close, thank you for the backup! I need to go since i have dutys here to do! “

She said and ran closer to the pole, the travaler followed her and i followed them without them noticing.

I still couldn't find xiao and sighed quietly.

After a while, a blue haired lady appeared in and it looked like she worked under Ningguang, her name was yelan and the red baired girl was yanfei.

A few minutes later the two strangers appeared. The green haired girl was named shinobu (kuki) and the buff guy itto (arataki). Itto started a fight with yelan but i didn't listen about what the fought about. Suddenly they fell into an emptyness, i sprinted at the big hole and looked carefully down, i sighed from relieve since nothing bad happened.

The glaze lilly on my head suddenly startes to glow, that meant that xiao wasnt so far what made me relieve too.

„Oh come on! How are we suppose to go up?! “

I heard itto yelling.

As they calmed down and walked up the path i teleported also down and drank something from Zhongli he gave me that made me quite invisible for 2-5 hours, glad that he gave me 5 more drinks.

As i noticed that yelan and the traveler seemed to notice a strange  aura, i also felt that and turned my head to see xiao. I almost fell but gladly didnt do they didnt notice anything about me.

„Xiao! “

I saw Paimon flying to xiao.

„What are you guys doing here?“

„We were exploring and yeah, we fell from a hole “

Shinobu explained.

“Aha.. You guys better leave this place, its dangerous.. “

I saw him talking to them, i saw him looking through my soul for a few seconds. And sighed.

I shivered and it looked like he Noticed me.

„Xiaooo?? Are you ok? “

Paimon asked worryingly

„I'm fine“

„Okay great! Now we hav-“

Before paimon could finish the sentence xiao disappeared, but before he did that, i grabbed my hand even tho i was invisible. He teleported us back to the pole cube.

„[Reader].. I know its you“

I sighed and grabbes the Antidotes from the invisible drink and slowly turned back.

„I told you that it was my decision! “

He grabbed my hand tighter.

„I know! But Morax told me to look after you! “

I covered my left hand on my mouth.

„He WHAT?! He told me that i will go alone on this mission! “

He stared at me. I didnt knew that xiao still knew that morax would be still alive..

„Please... Leave“

„Bu-“

„No, go back. Its to dangerous “

Now i held his hand tighter and looked into his eyes.

„Please let me help you.. You can't do this mission alone.. And what if.. Bosacius didnt survived it.. “

I looked at him with a worring face, he looked at me and sighed.

„ok.. But if it'll turn bad.. Then i will have to order you to go back up“

He said and looked at me.

I smiled and hugged him.

„Ok.. Then lets get going... “

I think im gonna upload the next chapter tomorrow since im tired :') but im very thankful for the 1k views<3 im looking forward! I hope you enjoyed this chapter and see you tomorrow <33
