Percy had been in medical care for a few hours now, unconscious and twitching. Steve beside her the whole time holding her hand. Tony had called him about Percy after FRIDAY had told him she was in distress, when he got to the gym she had seemed normal and just training. Until the savage attack on the dummy and then trying to stab him in the face. He recognised the blank dull look in her eyes, the same look Bucky had on the bridge when they fought.
Sighing he sat back in the chair while rubbing circles on Percy's hand.
"She's going to be ok, you know," says Bruce.
"Is she? Are you sure about that because she didn't recognise me at all Bruce, she tried to stab me in the face!" Steve huffs, he's not angry at Percy but the situation.
"I'm thinking that hydra did more to her than she realises Steve" Bruce looks concerned and strokes back a lock of Percy's hair.
"You told her she is a super soldier and a few hours later she blanked out while training, I think she still has whatever they did to her still in her brain like Bucky did" says Steve.
"We need to tell the team, Steve and then we need to let Percy decide if she wants to go to Wakanda to see if they can help her" Bruce flips through her chart.
"Ok can we get someone to stay with Percy while we get the team together?" asks Steve.
"I'll get Dr Cho and her team up here now, you call the team" says Bruce.
Ten minutes later the team is assembled in the conference room, Bruce has a stack of papers on Percy and Steve can't stop fidgeting.
"What's up with you?" asks Bucky.
Steve just glances at Bucky, Bruce stands at the head of the table coughing to get everyone's attention.
"Ok so today a few hours ago the new recruit had an incident in one of the training rooms, she basically had a dissociative episode" Bruce explains.
"Eh a what?" asks Sam.
"Her brain shut down and started acting on its own, she attacked Steve with a knife but he managed to subdue her until she came around and then blacked out. She's still unconscious in medical with Dr Cho watching over her while we discuss this". Says Bruce.
"Can I see her?" asks Wanda.
"Why?" concern crossing Bruce's face.
"Let me look into her mind, I may be able to see what set her off" she says.
"I like that idea, let's do that" says Tony.
The whole team headed for medical, muttering amongst themselves about what could have happened to Percy. Steve and Nat eyed each other warily, both thinking that they had another winter soldier on their hands.
"I looked over the footage and it was strange," says Tony.
"Yea, our new recruit tried to stab Steve in the face, of course it's strange" Sam gives Tony a incredulous look.
"No I mean she was training fine then seemed to zone out I suppose, but that's not the strange part. She attacked a dummy when it moved, it swung and she went for it. When Steve walked in she had stopped until he moved then she attacked him. It's like she went on auto response to movement" Tony was saying.
An alarm went off, Tony pulled out his phone and started typing. A hologram of Fury popped up.
"What's going on Fury?" asked Steve.
"There's a low level threat going on, I need two of you to head to a bank in New York. Barnes, Sam you two should be able to handle it. Tony I'll send the file to you" Fury signs off.
