Steve ran to Natasha's room, they had to prepare for Bucky and Sam's return. Bucky would attack first and ask questions later, they needed to lock down medical before he got that far. Running to Nat's door he hammered on it.
"What the hell Steve?" Nat barked at him.
"We've got problems, I just spoke to Sam, they were talking about Percy and Bucky is pissed. Sam said he got that look" he huffed out.
"Shit, Steve. We were talking about her on our last mission and he made it clear he didn't trust her" Nat knew Bucky was protective of his friends and family especially when it came to anything to do with hydra.
"He'll try and kill her" she stated bluntly.
"We need to lock down medical now and get everyone in place they'll be back in an hour. We are going to have to explain to the team whats going on. FRIDAY get everyone to Percy's room now!" Steve was already heading back the way he came, Nat running to keep up with his big strides.
"What the hell is going on? why are we all here?" Tony huffed.
Steve skidded around the corner coming to a stop in front of the team, taking a few deep breaths to calm himself.
"Ok we don't have a lot of time and I need everyone to listen with out questions. When Nat and Bucky went on their last mission they found some files, about Bucky and Percy. They were together at the base off and on, he was sent there to be fixed up after missions and she was an asset. The scientists discovered that the Winter Solider was becoming less compliant and the way to fix it was... Well sex. They thought his brain chemistry was messed up because they had suppressed his natural functions and they used Percy to fix it" Steve takes a deep breath and looks around his friends.
Tony is standing with his mouth open, Nat and Wanda look resigned, Vision is his usual calm self.
"Okay so what's going on?" asks Tony.
"Bucky doesn't realise who Percy is yet and him and Sam were discussing her and Sam pointed out how she's dangerous and now Bucky is on his way back and he's pissed. He already told Nat he doesn't trust Percy so we think he may try to attack her" Steve huffs out taking a breath.
Tony stands there eyebrows raised and mouth open. He blinks and moves into action.
"FRIDAY lock down this medical wing and restrict Barnes access to it. Let me know when he's ten minutes out" Tony looks at the others in shock.
"On it boss" says the AI.
"So what else can we do?" asks Bruce.
"Run interference, we may have to pull Wanda as well" Nat looks to Steve for approval.
"Don't rely on Wanda though, she's still feeling the effects of helping Percy" he nods again.
"Call it Cap" says Tony.
"Bruce I want you on the landing pad talking up some crap to occupy Bucky, say something about an arm recalibration, Nat be waiting at the lifts, talk him in to eating first and the rest if us will be in the kitchen and lounge. Tony have a suit on stand by just incase. Wanda how you feeling?" she is leaning against Vision still.
"I'm tired but I can manage" she nods solemnly.
"Boss quinjet 1 is 10 minutes out" FRIDAY lets them know.
"Ok everybody go, Vision stick with Wanda I don't want her getting hurt" Vision takes Wanda's arm and leads her off.
Tony and Steve head to the lounge together, Steve's brow are deeply furrowed and Tony looks far away. Nobody wants to fight Bucky. They are all family but they need to get him to stop long enough to talk to him. Steve hopes they are overreacting, that yes Bucky is pissed but not enough to hurt Percy. Once Nat gets him to the kitchen Steve will sit him down and go through everything. From start to finish.
