(Can't we have our happy ending?)
Abby's pov
I got a phone call from Ryder telling us to get to the hospital. Me and Natalia hopped in the car and just took off not caring how many laws we broke. I just knew something was wrong, and I felt I had to get there. Please let everyone I love be ok. I don't know what I would do if I lost Hannah or Chance. Natalia looked just as scared as I was because we didn't know how Issac was. We were happy to know that Ryder was ok since he was the one to call us. I knew that if Ryder was calling me then Chance had to be hurt. He didn't even tell me if Hannah was ok. Did they get Antonio or do we still have to look over our shoulder for him? I felt like I was losing my mind when we finally arrived at the hospital. I looked up to see Ryder and Isaac outside talking which could only mean that Chance and Hannah were the one's hurt. I felt my legs go weak, but I put on my big girl panties and walked up to them. I had to be strong for them they needed me now, and I would not fail them. I walked up to Ryder poor kid looked like he aged so much in the last few days.
"Hey Abby sorry I didn't tell you more on the phone but I just wanted to get out of there and get here to see what was going on."
"It's fine. What is going on?"
"Hannah is fine cut up a little and scared but in good health."
"Where is she?"
"She is by my request getting her ankle tended to since it got pretty banged up."
"Ok look Ryder stop skirting around shit and just tell me I am a big girl and have been through a lot so just say it."
"Chance well he was shot by Antonio he's in surgery right now and that is all I know. Luke is Antonio's half-brother but he was only doing what he was told. He's a victim as well he got shot going after Antonio so we could escape, and Antonio is dead."
"Is Luke ok and does Hannah know?"
"No I didn't tell her yet I don't know how much more she could handle so I want to wait until we know anything more."
"Ok thank you Ryder you know right now she is going to need you. I don't know what happened between you guys but are you going to be able to handle all of this?"
"Yes I have to I love her too much to just walk away."
I looked at Ryder I could see the love and pain in his eyes. I know how that feels because I've been there myself, but I had a feeling his story would end with a happy ending. I'm just not so sure I would get mine after all.
