  Mike's POV
I need to help Emily. I can't help but feel responsible for setting all of this in motion. I stupidly made a deal with Luther, fueled by nothing but envy. I can't move forward in my relationship with Rue, until I have proper closure with Emily, and everything I started. I need to go after her and help where I can.
"Who are you looking at?" Rue asks me. I look at her. She's so beautiful. I can't let anything happen to her.
"Rue. Listen to me. There's something I need to take care of. A wrong from my past that I need to make right."
"..Okay..?" Rue says. She looks confused.
"I want you to go over there away from the fighting, and stay hidden. When this is all over I'll come find you."
I'm about ready to take off after Emily when Rue grabs me.
"Mike, I'm not going to run away from this fight."
"Rue please I can't lose you."
"Well then where are you going?!" She yells.
"I'm going to help end this! It won't take long. I just want you to be safe."
  "I'm going to fight!"
"Damnit Rue. I can't have you in harms way. Please. I will be too worried about you to focus." She's silent for a moment. I shouldn't have yelled.
"I'm sorry for yelling at you Rue, you're just so important to me. I-"
"Okay! But you need to promise me that you'll find my brother." She says cutting me off.
"Yes, I will." I kiss her lips, more aggressively this time, before heading to where I last saw Emily.
I remember seeing her heading toward the Pure's giant castle tower, but after that I have no idea where she went. It's like she disappeared. Then I hear the thud of two bodies coming from the opposite direction of the battle. Could that be Emily? I decide to investigate and see a door around the back of the building with two guards laying unconscious beside it. I'm about to go through the door after Emily when I hear a voice yell out.
"She went over here!" hearing that voice sends chills through my spine. A memory of my mother's green eyes flashes through my mind. It brings me to my knees. I hear the voice again.
"I'm gonna get you this time you little b*tch!" It's louder this time. I panic and hide behind a nearby bush. I don't recognize the voice, but something about it terrifies me. I stay hidden and see a large intimidating girl. For a second I can't place her, but then it hits me. She was with Luther. She's the one who swung the sword that killed my parents.
"Bethany." I involuntarily whisper her name to my self. Then I quickly cover my mouth with my hand to prevent any further unwanted noise. Bethany waits by the door with the guards. I'm staring right at her pinched face and studying every inch of her. I stare at her hands. The hands that grasped the sword that took my mother away from me. I stare at her ears, her dirty hair, and her twisted grin. My fear churns inside of me and transforms into blinding rage. I'm going to kill her. I'm about to pounce when she draws her sword, still facing the door.
Wait.. did she hear me? Why is she still facing the door? Bethany slowly backs away. She's about a foot from the door, but she's staring intensely at it. Then the door creaks open, and Emily comes out of the doorway. Emily is smiling and looking down at her feet. Before I know it Bethany hits Emily in the back of the head with the butt end of her sword. Emily falls to the ground unconscious.
I hold back, unsure of what to do. As far as I know Bethany still has no idea I'm here. I need to take every advantage I can get. I watch her pick up Emily with one arm and hoist her over her shoulder. Goddess this girl is strong. She runs towards the woods carrying Emily with her. I follow discreetly behind her. For a moment I think she is heading back towards the battle, but instead she goes deeper into the woods. Where is she taking her? Then it hits me.
Oh no. She's bringing Emily to Luther. I need to stop her. I make the quick decision to attack Bethany from behind. But I don't have any weapons, so I shift. I wait until she positions herself next to a tree and run full force into her body. I ram her into the tree, she drops Emily, and I hear a loud crack. I can't tell if it was the tree or if it was her body. She doesn't move, or even fight me. All I hear is her whisper.
"Father." Quietly to herself. She coughs, and blood splatters on the tree. The crack must have been her body. I hear her wheezing. I place my jaws around her neck and twist, until I feel the bones disconnect from each other. Her body falls limp and I let it land on the ground. I take a step back and look at her for a moment.
"What have you done?!" Luther's  voice draws my attention behind me. I growl at him and begin to charge him. All he does is wave his hand at me, and suddenly I'm sent flying backwards. My body's momentum is stopped by a tree. I feel pain shoot up my side and I land on the ground. My vision is blurry, and my body is in excruciating pain, but I have to get up. My body is weak and shifts back to its human form. I see Luther bend down to Emily. I have to do something, anything to stop him, but I can barely move.

            Luther's POV

My daughter has sacrificed herself to bring me the Tribrid. I will not waste another second. I lift the girl's arm and make a cut on her wrist. My mouth is drooling with the anticipation. I place my lips over the cut and suck in the warm salty blood of the Tribrid. The surge of power is instantaneous. I can feel the pure raw energy flowing through my veins. My body contorts, trying to adjust to the surges of energy and power washing over me. I break away from the Tribrid. This is greater than I could have ever imagined. I begin to laugh, drunken with glee. I was right, the prophecy was right. All of those people who doubted me were FOOLS! Complete and utter imbeciles! I look down at my arms. A hazy whitish light is emitting out of me. I'm beginning to float above the ground. I throw my head back and laugh even harder than before.
"YEEEEEAAAAAAAAASSS!" I scream out. Warmth begins to radiate throughout my body. I feel so alive. Finally my destiny will be fulfilled and I will rule this world!
I will rise above the battlefield and cast a spell of emphasis. All eyes will look to me as I kill the Tribrid in front of them and take my worthy place as the new supreme leader of this world. No one else will taste her blood, no one else is worthy. The soldiers will cease their fighting and bow down to me, those who oppose me will parish.
I cast a spell to part the trees so I can make my way through the woods, but flames shoot from my hands instead.
What? I feel the warmth grow hotter and hotter inside me. The white haze around me begins to turn a yellowish orange. It burns!
I see my skin begin to blister and sizzle. My vision is obstructed by flames. I see nothing but red, and then.. blackness.

  Mikes POV
I can see Luther bending down  beside Emily. Oh no, is he drinking her blood. I need to get up. I need help. I can barely move.
"Liam! Emily needs help." I call out to him in mind link, I don't know if he'll even answer me.
"Where is she?" He actually replies.
"In the woods, to the north. Luther is here, I..I think he's drinking her blood." I tell him. I see Luther twist and bend around. Then he starts cackling like mad man. He begins to glow a hazy white and he starts floating above Emily's body. He screams out "YEEAAAAAASSS!" Then he shoots fire from his hands. His smile turns to a frown. He starts to glow a deep yellow and orange. The glow changes to red. What is going on? He cries out in pain and agony. He is completely on fire. His screams are muffled by the sizzling of his flesh. I can feel the heat all the way from where I stay laying on the ground. Then the flames shoot out from his body and come straight for me. I remember feeling heat and then nothing.

  Liam's POV
I am fighting alongside the originals when I hear Mike's voice ring through my head.
"Liam! Emily needs help." He is either desperate, or it's a trap.
  "Where is she?" I reply.
"In the woods to the north. Luther is here. I..I think he's drinking her blood." I look to the north and see a small wooded area next to the Pure's headquarters. This could definitely be a trap. I can't go at this alone. I grab a few vampires and Marcus, to go check it out. But suddenly there is a loud explosion of flames shooting out from the trees. It knocks back everyone standing within a hundred foot radius.
"Liam, what was that?" Marcus asks me, like I'm supposed to know.
"I don't know, but we need to put out that fire." I tell him. The flames burn through the trees and are spreading quickly.
What was a second ago a lush green forest is now a blackened spot on the earth. Nothing but charred stumps stand where trees used to be. The flames are continuing to spread out. Screams cry out, but are short lived as the flames consume everyone in their path.
"Do you know any spell that can help?" I ask Marcus.
"That's no ordinary fire.." Marcus says ominously.
I'm out of ideas, and I'm running on fumes. But just as quickly as the fire came and spread, it was sucked back down.
"The fire is dying out." Marcus says like he can't believe the words he's saying. The fire shrinks back to whatever the source was and then it vanishes. We race over to find Emily laying on the burnt and charred ground. She is unconscious and covered with ash. A glowing circle shines through the ashes on her chest. I bend down and touch her arm and the thin layer of ashes falls away revealing her perfect, unharmed skin. I let out a sigh of relief.
"What is that mark?" Marcus asks.
  "I don't know." I say.
"Over here." Someone shouts. I look up and see Mike's body, half of it looks pretty badly burnt, but somehow he's still alive. Where is Luther? We find the remnants of another body, a girl body,  but no Luther. The fire killed most of the army from the seekers in the west. What few soldiers remain retreat after they realize their leaders have perished. The originals have completely demolished the Pure army, and have taken over the Pure's headquarters.
I look around at the battlefield strewn with dead bodies. And covered with ash.
  "The prophecy." Marcus says.
  "Huh?"
"Great War, Great Fire, Great Death."
"So does this mean it's over?" I ask him.
