Kakucho told you to meet up with him at Street 141 which is pretty close to where you are currently. You decided to just walk towards that destination along with Izana.
You sighed gladly, "Ahh my headache's finally gone! I guess just a light walk will make it disappear."
"Don't you have any questions to ask me on the way to where Kakucho is currently?" Izana wondered.
"Hmm? Questions? Uhm.. none for now. I'm trying to know everything about you by finding the answers myself." you replied.
"Why? Isn't it easier to ask the person who knows exactly what you're looking for?" he continued to question your response.
"Let's just say I feel much better about myself when I'm the one who gets to answer my own questions." you laughed lightly at him.
"Just like a math problem, huh." he muttered.
You stopped your tracks to see the man who waited for you to come, Kakucho. He was waiting for your arrival for a very long time now.
"Kakucho!" you said loudly, catching his attention.
You rushed to him with your excited, huge smile and gave him a squeezing hug. Kakucho hugged you back, lightly grinning as he felt your comfort.
"I'm glad you're back, Y/n." Kakucho said, relieved.
You broke the hug then glued your eyes to his. "I'm also glad that I found you!"
"Do you recognize where we are right now?" he asked, stepping back a bit from you.
"What?" you said as you scanned the building and behind him and the surrounding.
"This is.." Izana whispered, your eyes looked at him but you stared back at Kakucho.
"Is this the orphanage we used to live in?" you asked.
"That's right. As you can see, it's already abandoned now. The owner just decided to shut the whole place down." he responded, the nostalgic vibe from a while ago changed to a somber atmosphere.
You felt heart broken as you heard what Kakucho just said. All those fun times you had with the other kids could just be memories in your head, only memories.
He continued on with his sentence, "Ever since you left, everything went downhill for me, Izana, and everybody else in the orphanage."
"What do you mean by that..?" you asked, you could feel your heartbeat speeding up awaiting his response.
He answered, "Most of the kids kept crying and couldn't stay under control. The owner told us to find another place to stay because she doesn't have the budget to keep us all alive."
"I'm guessing you stuck with Izana the whole time?" you responded.
"Yeah. We were gonna find you but halfway on doing that, Izana got side tracked when he found his adoptive brother. I just went with it because I can't leave him on his own." Kakucho replied, closing distance with you.
He looked at you with full of regret and dark emotions. "I'm sorry I didn't get to save him! If only..!" he cried.
"Kakucho. Stop.. crying." Izana said under his breath as he gazed at him with a blank expression.
