Beneath the Moon (Thatch x reader)

Suspicions Arise

As soon as you got to your apartment and had gotten off of your motorcycle, you turned to head into the building only to stop in your tracks as you saw Cracker leaving the building with a woman. You were about to call out to him, but instead shook your head and sighed knowing you wouldn't get any information from him anyway. After inside you stood at Katakuri's door, holding your hand out to knock it suddenly opened startling you.

Katakuri looked down at you, before you could see a slight smile peek above his scarf as he ruffled your hair he spoke, "What brings you to my door y/n-chan?"

"Well a couple of things actually, first Luffy really wants me to ask if you'll spar with him again. The kid hasn't stopped talking about it since last time and every time I see him he wants to know if I've seen you lately." He nodded as you continued, "Then I guess..." rubbing the back of your neck you looked towards the door, "I suppose I wanted to ask some questions about Cracker. He keeps cancelling our plans and I know him, you, and the rest of the family is busy with the business but..."

Katakuri held up a hand causing you to stop speaking, "As for Luffy, tell him sometime in the future I'd be happy to spar with him again. When it comes to Cracker though, well we don't exactly get involved in each other's personal lives if we don't need to, but I'll let him know you stopped by to ask about him other than that I really think you should just talk to him about whatever is going on."

"I see, well maybe I can catch him after work tomorrow then, he said you all had to stay late..."

"We aren't working at all tomorrow y/n, Mama was happy with the excess of sweets the factory put out today and gave everyone the day off. You say Cracker told you he had to work late?" When you nodded, he sighed, "I'll talk with Mama as well, there may be something I wasn't told then, it isn't like Cracker to lie to you after all."

Smiling you waved as you began to walk away, "Thanks Kata! I appreciate it and you helped ease my mind a bit too! Take care and tell Mama I send my well wishes!"

He watched as you walked away before turning to look towards the door his brother had just left out of, placing his hand in his head he groaned, "What are you up to now Cracker."

Reaching your door you quickly unlocked it and headed in, taking off your shoes and then placing your helmet and keys down on the counter. Sighing you pulled out a plate and placed leftovers on it, making your way over to the couch you plopped down and turned on the tv for background noise. While you ate you flipped through the apps on your phone, the sudden notification vibrating in your hand though spooked you and almost caused you to drop your plate. Leaning forward you placed the plate on the table in front of you before checking to see who the message was from; a small smile pulled your lips upwards:

Thatchy: Hope you made it home safely. Have a good night and sleep well.

Me: I did, thanks for checking up on me! Goodnight Thatchy!

Before you put your phone away you decided to send a quick message to Cracker:

Me: Hope you get home safely, I'll hopefully talk to you tomorrow.

Laying down on the couch you waited for a reply, one that never came though when you woke up in the morning you found he still hadn't responded to you. Groaning you stretched trying to work out the kinks that had worked their way into your body from sleeping on the couch. Quickly you tied your hair back and tossed on old clothes before making your way down the stairs and to your bike, as you walked out the door though you found yourself almost running into Katakuri.

"Oops. Sorry Kata, I didn't mean to almost run into you."

He looked down at you before ruffling your hair pulling it from the hair tie, "It's fine y/n, take care today."
