When you woke up the next morning, the house was oddly silent, slowly you made your way down the stairs to see Marco leave the house with Pops. Heading into the kitchen you expected to see the three younger boys there but when it was empty you couldn't help but wonder what was going on. A small note was placed on the counter Went with Pops to the company. Boys at mall for movie with friends. We will be back later. Placing the note back onto the counter you began to gather up things for breakfast, the idea of surprising Thatch with breakfast brought a smile to your face.

Thatch woke up and following the smell of food he made his way to the kitchen, upon entering the doorway he stood there watching you sing away as you cooked, leaning against the door frame he smirked as you danced to the music unaware of his presence, "I thought something smelt good."

Quickly you turned to see him leaning there, "I hadn't realized you were up already. Umm breakfast will be done shortly..."

"Anything I can help with?"

"Nope, allow me to cook for you this morning, think of it as a way to say how much I appreciate you." He stood there and watched you for a little while before making his way over to the counter and sitting on a stool, finally you turned with a plate in hand to find him staring at you, "Thatchy, you're staring."

He glanced away down to the plate of food in front of him, "This looks, great. Thank you."

"Well, I did learn from the best after all!" You made yourself a plate as well before sitting down beside him to eat, "I just realized we never got to finish that conversation we were having last night."

"What conversation?"

"The one about that girl you like! You know..." you began to poke at your food while you talked, "I'm a bit jealous of her, you talked so highly of her. It's obvious that you really care about her a lot, she's lucky Thatch."

"I'm the lucky one..."

Giggling you placed down your fork before leaning against you hand and looking at him, "That might be, but she is also lucky. She has someone who admires her, someone who I'd guess loves her wholeheartedly for who she is, that isn't something everyone finds. Maybe I'm jealous because I wish I had that, but it's just a dream."

Thatch dropped his silverware and stared at you in disbelief, "Is that really what you think of yourself? Do you really believe that someone wouldn't be able to love someone as incredible and as amazing as you?"

"I mean I haven't exactly had the best luck when it comes to my dating life."

He pulled his hair back as he took the dishes from the counter and began to wash them, he didn't say a word until he was done, "You're wrong. Cracker really did like you when the two of you started dating and I think he probably does still care for you as well. You also have King who has been chasing after you ever since we were in high school. I also know for a fact that he wasn't the only one that was interested in you, you've had plenty of men and women chasing after you."

You couldn't help it you burst out in laughter, "Okay, you've proved your point I get it I'm being too hard on myself. What is the point though of having all these people chase me though if the one person I'm in love with has no interest?"

"I can't do anything about Cracker, y/n, but if you would just give someone else a chance..."

"Who said I was talking about Cracker? It may seem unfair to him, but he was never my number one pick. Don't get me wrong both Cracker and King are gorgeous and would be great lifelong partners err well King would have been since Cracker, well you know, but neither of them are the man that I've been in love with for years."
