Ample make this bed.
Make this bed with awe;
In it wait till judgment break
Excellent and fair.

Be its mattress straight,
Be its pillow round;
Let no sunrise' yellow noise
Interrupt this ground.

-Your lover, I wish you had stayed the night

Amy lay in her bed, having snuck in a few minutes earlier. She had spent the night with Emily after finally excepting her true feelings, and she could not have been more glad.

The best decision she had ever made in her life, truly. Her eyes fluttered shut, thinking of Emily and her features, the features she had spent almost all night memorizing.

A smile graced her lips as she imagined her beautiful, curly brown hair, Emily's light brown eyes, her pink lips that had so majestically made their way onto hers.

Emily Dickinson did things to Amy March, Emily had made her feel things she hadn't even for Laurie.

Perhaps this was her good ending, with Emily, the two of them, running away together, together and no one else. Living their lives to the fullest, unbounded by society's rules, by their ideologies. Perhaps this was meant to be, her and Emily, because there had always been a force, pulling them together, like a magnet.

Perhaps Emily could be her escape and she, Emily's. Perhaps Emily could pull her out of the deep ditch she lived in, and they would both, run in the gleaming sunlight with no one around to judge, to mock, to stop them from their fate. Their fate, together.

Perhaps, it is all to be false, a dream.

Maybe it is, because nothing good, ever stays.

"Emily Dickinson, get out of bed!" Emily's mother was currently screaming at her. After Amy had come over, Emily barely got any sleep. She was awake all night either talking to Amy or admiring her, so, she had obviously not gotten much sleep. It wasn't really her fault though, it was obviously Amy's for being so perfect and intriguing.

"I'm coming!" she jumped up out of her comfortable sheets and quickly ran over to the door where he mother was standing.

Opening the carved wooden block that protected her privacy, she found her mother staring disapprovingly at her.

"It is almost 12 PM, Emily, did you forget that we have church?" her mother sighed as she quickly pushed Emily back into the room and picked out an outfit for her.

"Ummmm, kind of?" Emily replied, nervously scratching at her neck.

"I thought I had raised you better than this, now hurry up and change, the carriage is waiting outside!" Emily's mother scurried out of the room and closed the door behind her, giving Emily space to change.

Emily quickly stripped and put on what had been handed to her, following after her mother and heading outside, only to see 3 carriages instead of 2.

She looked confusedly at Lavinia who was right behind her, hoping for some answers.

"Maybe if you had awoken early you would've known," Lavinia said, cheekily.

"Well excuse me if I forgot about church!" Emily responded, "Now tell me what's happening, Vinnie!"

"Father invited the March's. Apparently, after the party, father and mother have become close 'friends' with the March's," Lavinia explained as she stepped inside of a carriage.
