After the fighting was over, Nico sat down on a chair groaning, "I think I sprained my ankle."

Will rushed to him, "Let me check. Honestly, you should be careful."

"Not my fault those stupid empousa decided to fight us." Nico protested. "She hit me with her own leg, who does that. And that other empousa was literally throwing rocks at us."

"That was the one I was fighting, yes." I agreed.

"Rory, I'd suggest you take a seat as well." He told me. "That empousa bite doesn't look good."

"What do you mean?" I asked frowning. Like yeah, my shoulder was bleeding a little, but it didn't really look bad enough that I'd be needing to settle down. "I am fine, it's just a-"

I stopped myself as I started to feel a little light headed. I grabbed the chair next to me to stay still. Aaron and Reyna came closer to me, helping me keep balance.

"What's wrong with her?" asked Aaron.

"Empousa. They drink human blood." He replied. "She's going to be facing some severe anaemic symptoms for now."

"So we were fighting vampires?" asked Aaron. "How come they look so pretty then?"

"Vampire always look pretty, Adler." I replied with an eye roll. Even if I was feeling dizzy I was not going to miss the chance of sassy around. "Except for the ones in real life. Ever watched Vampire Diaries? Or read twilight? Robert Pattison and Ian Somerhalder are hot."

"And the ones we were fighting were ugly." Meg said and did a cartwheel.

"Well they were pretty at first." He insisted.

"The one fighting Nico looked like the female version of him." Will commented.

"I don't think we both have the same definition of pretty then, Solace." Snorted Thalia. Nico rolled his eyes at that.

"And the one fighting Rory also had blonde hair and a really pretty face like-" Aaron stopped himself at the statement.

"Like?" Thalia asked with raised brow.

"Like Scarlett Johansson." He replied, slightly blushing which made me think he was actually going to say something else but had decided to change his answer.

Okay, sure. Whatever.

"Your mother wouldn't like that you think Scarlett Johansson is pretty." Reyna told him.

"Can't keep then all happy now can I?"

"Well let's get out here. It's time for the train." Nico told us.

"I don't know about that angel." Will told him. "Both you and Rory have been injured. I'd like to check on it first."

"You can do that in the train." Replied Nico. "If we don't hurry we're going to miss the train. Stupid monsters."

"Well there's no Rory can walk." Will protested.

"I can walk." I replied weakly. "It's not that far."

Will shook his head. "It's only going to get worse. Empousa usually goes for men, and when they do that its to suck their blood. Most of the people that they suck the blood from die on the spot from blood loss, so it's rare for someone to survive their bite attacks. And since females aren't the usual targets, I can only imagine that wouldn't be good for you either. The weakness you're feeling is probably because of blood loss and empousa acid that would have entered your body. Empousa acid destroys the red blood cells in one's body. It shouldn't be fatal if proper nutrients are taken after being bitten."

I mentally took notes of what he said. I didn't really care much at the moment, but that might be helpful in the future.

"Before we leave, Thalia can you take out the box of antacids from my bag. It should neutralise the acid a bit." Will ordered her.

"Antacid?" asked Meg confused. "Like acid made by ants?"

Both Will and I rolled out eyes.

"I can't believe you just said that." I told her. "Antacid is a base, not actually an acid. And its defiantly not made by ants. Ants produce formic acid."

"That's common knowledge." Will agreed with me.

"For you guys." Replied Meg sticking her tongue out like a true mature teenager.

"Can you just get it." He asked with annoyance. She nodded, grabbed his bag, took out the container containing antacids. She tossed it to Reyna, who caught it effortlessly and gave me one tablet.

Will helped Nico up and Aaron practically carried me to our train compartment. If anyone was confused as to why one of us teens was bleeding from her shoulder and being carried by another guy while another one them was limping and taking support from another boy, they decided not to show it.

We sat in our compartment, I leaned my head on Will shoulder and Nico laid his legs on his lap. Nico and I were basically hogging all the space and my poor brother was stuck in between us. He didn't seem to mind though, as he was softly singing Safe and Sound by Taylor Swift to us trying help both of us heal quicker.

Will's voice was absolutely gorgeous. I guess I shouldn't really be surprised, we're children of Apollo. It would be a shame if he was a bad singer. If Will didn't want to be a doctor, he's be an amazing singer.

Both Nico and I were nibling on ambrosia. I was surprised to find that it tasted exactly like the cookies and cream ice cream my mum used to bring every Friday. Her being a doctor and me being a child of Apollo, we were both naturally health conscious. That ice cream used to be the reminder that today we were going to forget about such small worries and just live our lives eating ice cream.

After the ambrosia Will handed me an orange, telling me that Vitamin C can destroy the remaining Empousa acid and increase the absorption of iron. He didn't give it to me earlier because first we needed to neutralise most of the acid, but now it was safe to consume it.

I nodded and ate it as he continued his singing. I didn't knew when I fall asleep, but Will's voice was so melodic I couldn't really help it.
