Eddie woke up before Chrissy did. She had rolled off of him in her sleep but his arm was still underneath her. With the dead weight, he couldn't feel his fingers. He slowly pulled his arm out from under her and thought for a moment that he had woken her up. She was having a really rough time lately and he wanted her to sleep as long as possible.

Every time he had left her she woke up scared and out of breath. He decided that going to get breakfast which smelled of bacon and eggs, was less important. He pulled himself up into a sitting position and really wished he had his car. He hadn't smoked anything in almost three days and after all the excitement could really use a joint.

The escape was almost welcomed but than the second thoughts creeped in. He had to stay alert for Chrissy. She was still cursed and needed his help, she couldn't escape that so he couldn't escape this. What the hell am I doing, I'm not a hero he thought to himself and then felt Chrissy move beside him. She rolled over to that she was facing him now, a strand on hair was hanging down in her face, he reached over and brushed it out of her face.

This is why he was doing all this, because for once someone was depending on him. For once someone cared if he was around. Not to mention that someone was actually nice to him. She didn't call him a freak or ask him to change anything about himself. She didn't call his game stupid and even listened to him when he explained things to her.

When Chrissy woke up Eddie was still beside her but he was sitting up and wide awake. "Morning." She said interrupting his thoughts. He leaned down and kissed her hair. "Morning, beautiful." He said smiling down at her. She pulled the covers over her head to hide the facts she was blushing. "No, you have slept enough. I'm starved." He whined trying to pry the covers from her.

She laughed and pulled the covers down. He was playing with the rings on his fingers. She sat up and put a hand over his, she knew that her hair was a mess, a reoccurring theme anymore, and yet he still always looked at her like she was the most beautiful person in the room. For once she didn't have to worry about disappointing someone, no matter what she did he never looked at her differently.

He was looking down at her with a warm  smile, his hair was wild and tiny curls outlinded his face. She reached up and wrapped her arm around his neck, pulling him into a kiss. He wrapped an arm around her, pulling her closer to him. She had a handful of soft curls and another of his shirt. He had both wrapped around her waist, he pulled her up to him, she had to sit on her knees. When they parted he laid his forehead against hers breathing heavy. "As good as you taste, I still need food." He said and she laughed.

He got up and grabbed her hand pulling her out of bed. She nearly crashed into him trying to get her footing. Eddie laughed as he caught her other arm. They walked downstairs and into the kitchen, Nancy and Steve were sitting in front of empty plates while Robin was pacing back and forth. Eddie and Chrissy walked into the room causing the room to go silent.

"About time you guys woke up. I mean how could you even sleep?" Robin said, she was going on and on about Vecna and curses and how she couldn't sleep at all. "I hadn't slept in days, am suspected of murder and kidnapping, oh yeah and traveled to basically hell. I slept like the dead." Eddie said grabbing a plate of food off the counter and heading it to Chrissy. It was full of bacon, eggs and two pieces of toast. He took the last one for himself and walked over to the table sitting down.

"Okay so what's our plan?" Steve said leaning back in his chair with his hands behind his head. "Which part are we coming up with a plan for?" Eddie asked taking a bite of toast, he was starving and agreed that they should figure out what to do (especially how to explain that he didn't murder anyone) but everything lead down a different road. There was no main course, they would have to solve each problem.

"Okay so here is todays plan." Nancy said. Basically the plan was that Nancy and Chrissy would go to Chrissy's house. Chrissy would tell her mom that she had been staying with Nancy because her and Jason broke up and she didn't want him coming to the house. Than when the police came and talked to her she would tell them that Jason was mad that Eddie and her were hanging out and blamed him for everything.

Neither Eddie or Steve thought it was a good idea for only the two of them to go, they both had been attacked by Vecna while neither Eddie or Steve had been. Eddie couldn't go for obvious reasons, but Steve volunteered which he was grateful for. "Yes, she's going to walk into her house with you." Nancy said pointing to Steve "while saying she broke up with her boyfriend for you." she than pointed to Eddie "that sounds totally convincing." She finished sarcastically.

No amount of arguing on either of the guys end got them anywhere. They were suppose to stay here and wait for the girls to return. They were able to convince them to take Robin as the only not cursed one, she may be the only one there to save them.

Chrissy and Eddie made their way upstairs, he was still trying to talk her out of going but she just kept saying they would be fine. As annoying as it was she had to admit that it was sweet how much both guys wanted to go and protect her and Nancy.

Chrissy went into the bathroom and changed into the jeans Robin had given her, she was going to change back into the red shirt but decided against it. Logically she told herself that it was because of the tears but in reality she just wanted to stay in the shirt Eddie let her wear. Regardless whether she new the band or what the symbols meant, it was his.

She walked out into the bedroom and found that he had changed to. Now wearing a different black shirt with dark blue jeans. The chain connecting his wallet and pants was hanging as always, he was putting on his boots and all his hair had fallen towards so she couldn't see his face. She walked over to him and stood right in front of him. If he noticed her at first he didn't show it only continued to tie his boot.

Finally he looked up at her and wrapped his arms around her waist pulling her to him. She was standing in between his legs now with his head against her stomach. They stayed like that in silence while she ran her fingers over and over through his long curls. "Keep the radio on." Eddie finally said breaking our silence. "Same two songs over and over." I said in a low voice.

He looked up at her, she expected him to kiss her but instead he let go of her and stood up. He was taller than her, she had to back up so they wouldn't hit into each other. She watched him questionably as he reached up and took off the guitar pick he wore on a bang string around his neck. "Here, it's my own lucky charm." He said handing it to her.

"I don't know if I'd say you've been lucky." Chrissy said putting the thin rope necklace over her head. "Yeah well, I could do without the being wanted part but it did bring you to me so I'll deal with a couple monsters and running from the cops." He said taking her hand in his. "To hell and back." She said low. "Always babe. This time just try and stay outta hell." He leaned down and kissed her.

They walked back downstairs, Nancy and Steve came down a few minutes later. He was still trying to talk her into letting him go. "Alright, let's go." Nancy said. "Come on, Nanc." Steve started up again but she merely turned and walked out the house. Chrissy followed her while Robin was already waiting by the car. She didn't really know either one and felt uncomfortable sitting in the backseat, she tried to breath and pulled her hair back like her mother liked it. It was time to go and be perfect.

"Got any weed?" Eddie said as he followed Steve outside. Steve didn't say anything but he could have sworn he saw a smile. The walked out to the backyard, beside the pool and sat down. Steve reached down in the chair he was sitting in and pulled out a bag. "Just a bit." He said and the both smile at the bag. "This may just be a half decent day, my friend." Eddie said and took the bag.
