Chrissy sat back on her knees and starred at him wide eyed. Of the all things she though he was going to say "get married" was not one of them. "You..you want to get...married?" She asked trying to make sure she heard him right. She watched him slowly sit up and continue to watch her. He nodded and than with a smirk "Just a thought babe, no need to have a heart attack." He said trying to joke around. Chrissy didn't say anything she was lost in thought. She planned her wedding like every other little girl and it was always huge and beautiful with tons of flowers and a long white dress, not ever a courthouse wedding. Than she remembered how happy she had been in her dream just knowing she was his wife, he was her husband and nothing could change that. She smiled and met his eyes finally, she nodded and laughed "Yes, yes I want to marry you." She said and lunges forward wrapping her arms around his neck and kissed him.

Eddie was barely present as she kissed him, he was shocked that she actually wanted to get married. They were basically living together and they were going to have a baby so it seemed like the next step to him but he wasn't sure about what she would say. He was almost sure she would laugh and think he was joking, instead she wore a bright smile and kissed him over and over excitedly. "I love you." Eddie said to her breathless. She was breathing heavily but smiling. "We got to go, they close at noon today." She said looking at the clock and jumping up.

They both walked into the courthouse with Steve and Nancy. Neither of them were really sure what it would consist of when they arrived at the courthouse right at eleven thirty and walked inside. Actually it was pretty quick, they only had to wait five minutes before signing a marriage license. Steve and Nancy signed as witnesses and than everything was official. They were actually married, no big ceremony, no families, no dress but Chrissy was still extremely happy. Eddie was surprised that she signed her name first, he honestly thought that she would back out. "So when exactly is your first date?" Steve asked as they walked outside.

The thought shocked both of them, they had actually never went on a date. Between everything else it didn't seem important. "When you get a girl, we'll double." Eddie said lighting a cigarette causing Nancy to laugh as she was getting in the car. "That was just mean." Steve said getting in and pulling out. Eddie and Chrissy decided to walk back to the trailer, it was a nice day out and with everything happening tonight they wanted to spend time together. "Oh, shit I almost forgot. I have something for you." Eddie said digging in his jacket pockets. Chrissy laughed as she watched him frantically look. After a moment he finally pulled out a small diamond ring. Chrissy felt the air leave her body as she looked at it. "I know it's not extravagant but it was my mothers." He said taking her hand and placing the ring on her finger. "It's beautiful." She said looking down at her hand. She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him. He could feel her smiling against his lips.

"Got any other plans for the day?" Chrissy asked once they started walking again. They walked hand in hand down the road as he thought about his answer. "I have another surprise for you when we get home." Eddie said making her smile bigger, if that was even possible. She let go of his hand and wrapped her arm around his locking their hands together again and leaned her head against his arm. The rest of the walk back they talked about nothing important, no monsters, no plans, no fear, just random things. It reminded Chrissy of the time they spent in the lake house, the difference was now when he did something adorable she could lean up and kiss his cheek or move fallen pieces of hair from his face when he got to excited.

Arriving at the trailer was a strange feeling. Chrissy was excited to see what else he had planned but she also didn't want the walk to end. For that brief amount of time they were a normal couple just walking home. "Your castle, my lady." Eddie said opening the door and bowing for her. She giggled and walked inside and over to the couch. The trailer was clean and even though the furniture was mismatched pieces and second hand, she felt like this was her home. It was their first home together and she was proud of it, she knew that Eddie didn't believe her when she said it out loud.

The truth was he was proud of the little home they had put together but there was no way she could be happy living in a place like this. He seen her house. Hell her bedroom was bigger than the kitchen and living room combined. She was sitting over on the burgundy couch which was next to the dark green chair with a tan one on the opposite side. A queen living in a shack when she deserved a castle. Even hours later he couldn't understand why she kept choosing this life when she deserved so much more than he could ever give.

He knew she was waiting and trying not to ask about what else he had gotten her. The ring was his mothers but he didn't really have to get that, it was in a box under his bed which thankfully his uncle didn't move. He walked over to where his guitar stood and picked it up. He wasn't much of a singer so he didn't even try for lyric, instead he sat down beside her and played the song he had been coming up with in the Upside Down for her. She leaned against him and closed her eyes listening to the music filling the room.

"You wrote that....for me?" She asked a little embarrassed. "Yeah, unless you don't like it than it was all Harrington." Eddie said playfully but keeping his eyes away from hers. "Not like it? You don't realize how actually amazing you are." She said placing a hand on his cheek and making him meet her gaze. "And you don't realize how perfect you are." He said moving a piece of fallen hair behind her ear. "Your just saying that because your leaving me." She said dropping her hand and fidgeting with the sleeve of the black sweater she wore. "Your right I want you to hear me say every praise I can about you in case anything goes wrong but your wrong if you think for a minute I don't believe it." Eddie said leaning in so they were only inches apart. "Teach me something." She said in an almost whisper.

He sighed and pulled away. For a minute she thought he was going to get up and walk away from her but instead "Are you coming over or not?" He asked her patting his knee. "Is this how you taught Steve?" She asked as she climbed into his lap. "Of course. No special treatment. Although the view is better and you aren't crushing me." Eddie said from behind her, she could feel his breath on the back of her neck and had to compose herself. She wanted to learn, she wanted to be able to help him back.

Slowly he showed her how to hold the neck and how to hold her fingers so she could get the most reach with little effort. He taught her how to strum lightly not hard so she wouldn't break the strings. And lastly he showed her a few cords. It was all a lot to her but she honestly didn't want the lesson to stop. His passion shown through the whole time they sat there, even through Chrissy's aggravation and doubts he never pushed her to hard, only encouraged her to try again. Before they knew it hours had gone by and the sun was setting.

"That's enough for today, your gonna wear your fingers down till they bleed." Eddie said reaching to take the guitar from her hands. "No I can get it." Chrissy said trying to recreate the sound he had made. Eddie laughed to himself and laid back against the couch. She was determined he had to give her that. His hair was long enough to get tangled in the strings when he leaned over, a hair cut was definitely in the near future. "Let me up babe. I'm gonna heat up some of that lasagna Steve brought last night. Do you want some?" He asked but she ignored him, concentrating on the job at hand. Eddie laughed to himself again as he walked into the kitchen.

The sun was setting and that meant within three hours he would be face to face with Vecna. Eddie sat down on the couch and placed both plates on the coffee table before taking the guitar out of Chrissy's hands. "Hey!" She said annoyed but he only shushed her "I would like to eat dinner with my wife before I go face down an evil monster." Eddie said smiling broadly at the word wife. Chrissy was trying to remain mad but was failing, she uncrossed her arms and took the plate closest to her "I almost had it ya know." She said pouting in between bites. "You'll be playing songs before you know it." He agreed smiling over at her, he was super proud of her for even accomplishing what she already had in such short time.

The rest of the night was filled with laughing and watching television. They both wanted to fall asleep in their own bed tonight so Eddie moved the television from the living room to their room. Chrissy was restless but though she tried to fight it her eyes were heavy. "Go to sleep, my love. I'll be here when you get up." Eddie said nuzzling into her hair. "I love you." Chrissy said leaning up to kiss him one last time. He was half asleep but kissed her back lightly "I love you." He said in a half whisper. Taking a deep breath Chrissy finally let herself fall asleep. Eddie wasn't up much longer, he soaked in the sound and warm of Chrissy before letting himself fall asleep just in case it was the last time.
