There was a constant drizzle, like walking through a mister. In some ways it was nice. The sun wasn't beating down on us and the temperatures had cooled off to a reasonable maybe 85 degree temperatures. I don't know for sure, since I don't have a thermometer, but it definitely was not in the upper 90's.

The downside to all the drizzle was that our clothes were completely wet just three hours into our day of walking. Also, the mud was horrendous. Since I didn't have the military style boots like the guys, my tennis shoes were wet, and slipped every few steps. It got to where one of the guys had to hold my bicep as we walked so I wouldn't end up covered in mud like a pig.

When we stopped for lunch, we found a park in the center of a little town. The picnic area had a pavilion covering the tables. Being that we were in the middle of a town made the guys nervous. North, Silas, Nathan and Owen sat facing the four points on a compass with guns at the ready.

My socks were so wet that I was afraid I would get sores on my feet. I pulled my muddy shoes off, removed my socks and found my feet were all wrinkly like I had sat in a tub for the last 4 hours. "Let's get those feet taken care of Pookie."

Sean pulled out one of the towels and dried them off. He rubbed each individual toe, and even between each toe. That tickled and I jerked my foot back and laughed.

"Oh, that tickles, does it?" Sean said playfully.

"Of course it does! You give me your toes and we will see if you laugh too."

"Later tonight, when we get to the next camp, you can do whatever you want to my toes Pookie." My eyes went wide and my mouth dropped at the way he was teasing me.

"Stop flirting Sean!" Owen said with his back to us.

"But it is so much fun! You missed the way she blushed just now." Sean spoke in a bit of a whiny voice.

"No I didn't miss the blush. I might not have seen it, but I could feel the heat roll off of her from here." And a new blush covered my already existing blush. "There she goes again." Owen responded.

"How the fuck do you do that shit?" Gabriel asked with a laugh.

"It's a gift." Owen deadpanned.

North was handing out whole apples to everyone and a ration of beef jerky. I closed my eyes as I bit into the sweet, perfectly crisp apple. Mmmmm, sooooo good!

"Damn, can you just sit in front of me everyday and eat an apple?" Luke asked.

"Princess is not going to feed your sick fantasies Luke." Victor sounded a bit angry.

"I wouldn't need to fantasize about anything with the way she eats apples." Luke continued.

"That's enough Lucian!" North bellowed.
