Everyone in the guild looked very shocked at the disappearance of the S-Class quest that Mira had reported just now. From what everyone knew, Laxus saw Happy taking on the S-Class quest and everyone could guess that Natsu and Happy –maybe Lucy too took the job without anyone noticing.
An argument ensued between Master Makarov, Laxus, and Mira, who wanted to bring Natsu, Lucy, and Happy back to the guild. Gray, on the other hand, seemed very offended when Master Makarov relied solely on S-class mages.
"Laxus! Go bring them back!" Master Makarov said to his grandson.
"Don't be silly. I have my own work to attend to. Members of this guild are supposed to be able to take care of themselves. Right?" Laxus refused.

"Out of everyone here, who else besides you can bring Natsu back by force?!" Master Makarov said angrily.
Erza is still at work. Mystogan hadn't returned from his job either. Louisa was on the council, she might be back in a few minutes, but Master Makarov was worried it would be too late to bring Natsu home.
Gray should have waited for Louisa to return, but he felt it would be unfair for Makarov's master to only rely on S-Class and Louisa.
"Grandpa. I can't let those comments go." Gray said to his master.

Louisa came back from the council and found how the atmosphere of the guild felt completely different. Something must have happened. Mira immediately ran to Louisa with a worried face.
"Louisa, I'm so glad you're back!" Mira said.
"What's wrong? Where's Gray?" Louisa asked Mira.
"Please bring them back home!" Mira said.
Mira told Louisa what had happened and how worried Louisa was when she heard it. She knew how dangerous the S-Class mission was.
Louisa looked around but couldn't find Erza anywhere and Laxus didn't seem interested in helping Master Makarov either. Louisa sighed, "Grandpa, can you name me as the one who took the job?"
"I can, but you have to bring them back first!" said Makarov.
"This is just my speculation, but I think Natsu and Gray might take the job," said Louisa, who knew Natsu and Gray's behaviour very well. While Lucy, who is still a new member, she may be forced to accept the job because of Natsu. "Please, tell Erza too. I will take the job while Erza takes them home. I'll make sure those TWO IDIOTS stay where they are."
