"Ur is still alive!"

Erza asked. "What do you mean?"

"Ten years ago... Deliora attacked the city I was living in. Not even a full day had passed before it was obliterated." He sounded very troubled to talk about his dark past, but he continued. "Ur and Lyon saved me. They just happened to be passing by at the time. That was how it all began."

When they arrived at the temple, now the position of the building was slightly different.

"Wha...? The ruins are, umm, tilted..." Lucy confused by looking at it.

"Must be Natsu." Gray said. "Dunno how he pulled it off, but only he'd do something this nonsensical. Was it on purpose, or just dumb luck? Either way, the moonlight won't hit Deliora now."

"I can't believe his habit of destroying things turned out useful here." Lucy said.

Louisa looked very pale by looking the temple. "Oh no... What has he done? I told him not to destroy the temple!"

Happy said. "I know what that was. It's called foreshadowing."

Suddenly they were attacked by the enemies. Erza managed to protect Lucy and Happy. "Look out! Who goes there?!" Erza asked.

One of the black hooded enemies said. "We found you, Fairy Tail! We will not allow you to interfere with the Cold Emperor!"

"These guys...!" "Lyon's minions?!"

"Leave this to me!" Erza said while ready to fight them.

Gray looked at her. "Erza!"

"Go, Gray. Go settle things with Lyon." Erza said.

"Don't worry! We're here, too! Go on!" Lucy said as she showed her whip weapon.

"Guys... Louisa, Let's go" Gray and Louisa finally went to catch up with Natsu while Erza and Lucy will fight Lyon's minions. 'He doesn't know that Ur is alive. The only one who can stop him... is me!'

'Ur gave her life to clear away the darkness that had possessed me for so long. 'Walk forth. Toward the future.' Taking those words to heart, I decided to change. But...'

Gray glanced at Louisa. He really wished he could be with her a little longer, but he knew how dangerous Deliora was. He would probably confess his feelings before it was too late.

When they arrived at the temple, they saw Lyon's ice. Gray punched the ice when he heard Natsu's voice in there.

"What the...?" Natsu startled. "Gray!"

"Natsu. Let me deal with him." Gray said. "This will be the end of it. There won't be a next time."

'W-what are you—?' Louisa suddenly felt anxious hearing that sentence.

"You're rather confident of yourself." Lyon said.

"Ur died ten years ago because of me. But I can't let you get away with hurting my comrades, harming the village, and trying to melt that ice." Gray said. "We will accept our punishments together, Lyon."

Gray positioned himself to use his magic. "That stance...! Iced Shell?!" Lyon said.

"Iced Shell?" Natsu looked confused. He looked at Louisa who was very frightened.

"Have you gone mad?!" Lyon said.

"Return the villagers to their original forms this minute! And then take your accomplices and leave!" Ice magic circle began to appear around Gray. "This is the last chance I'll give you!"

"I see. So you're using that spell as a bluff. What nonsense." Lyon didn't believe it.

"I'm serious." Gray seriously used his magic. "The fact Ur died because of me will never change, no matter how much time passes. I have to take responsibility for it at some point. I'm going to do it here. I've been prepared to die... for the last ten years!"

"Are you serious?!"

"Answer me, Lyon! Will we both die, or will we both live?!"

"Do it. You don't have the courage to die. You can't possibly have it!"

"Sorry. You're wrong."

"Gray!" Natsu and Louisa called out to him at the same time, not believing in his stupid act.

'Natsu... Erza... Louisa... Everyone in Fairy Tail... I leave the rest to you... Sorry, but it's time for me to go. This is... the end!'
