On the way home, Gray secretly looked at Louisa. It is no secret that Gray actually has feeling for her. That feeling of love. As far as he can recall in his tiny memory, he and Cana were Louisa's first friends. So, no wonder he felt even more special towards the crystal mage.
He remembered he was attached to Louisa when puberty hit him. It took Macao, Wakabe, and every male in the guild to separate them apart. Louisa with a questioning look and Gray with an angry-irritated look. Those days were very embarrassing for him.
Gray even remembered that time when Natsu fought him for the first time which scared Louisa. She said if any of them fought, then they would die. It took Gray a week to not fight with Natsu and pretend to be his friend.
Gray found it weird that he was supposed to felt embarrassed —or kind of tsundere— around Louisa but he just felt comfortable around her. It didn't take him long to realize that he was in love. Cana and others males in the guild even have their own bets about Gray's helpless love. He wanted to freeze those old single men in the guild.
Well, at least now he and Louisa will have more opportunities to be... alone together.
"Gray,"
"What is it?"
"Where are you taking us?"
Gray stopped his tracks. He led them into the forest. He knew this was the fastest way to the guild. He wanted to answer, but suddenly the urgent to toilet was a priority.
"This is the fastest way to the guild... hey, I need to find a toilet."
"Oh ok. Be careful Gray."
Soon Gray had gone in Louisa's sight. She put her finger under her chin. Thinking of something very important.
"So... what name should our team pick?"
Suddenly, a loud noise was heard from where Gray had gone which made Louisa worried. She immediately kicked the enemy and accidentally hit Gray and Natsu.

"Wha—? Natsu?!" Louisa startled. She was terribly sorry for hitting both of them.

"You bragged about your nose, but you couldn't even smell Gray out here." Lucy said to Happy.
The cat replied lightly. "There are some odors I don't want to smell."
"What's that mean?!" Gray said back to the cat.
"You're annoying. Just hurry on home." Natsu said.
"I was planning to. We're in big trouble if we don't hurry back." Gray said in a serious tone.
Louisa looked at him with a confused look. She didn't think they were in a hurry to go home. Instead she felt he was walking quite slowly along the way.
