6 pov.
I stepped out ot the Normandy wearing my helmet despite sweating constantly. Lilith had Garrus and Grunt with her. Grunt was the tank krogan in the hold from before after failing to get Okear. An unfortunate development I guess. I didn't care when I noticed an asari woman approached with loki mechs. "Welcome to Nos Astra Commamder Shepard. We've been instructed to waive all docking and administration fees for your visit. My name is Careena. If you need any information about the area, it would be my pleasure to assist you." She bowed slightly as I stayed hidden from site.
"Who instructed you to waive the fee?" Lilith asked as I already knew staying silent.
"The order came from Liara T'soni, who paid all fees on your behalf." She then pulled up an Omni-tool. "She also asked that I direct you to speak with her at your convenience. She's near the trading floor."
"Thank you." Lilith smiled as I passed by keeping low behind the krogan.
"Again, welcome to our city, commander. Please enjoy your stay." We then left as I stared at the skyline.
"It's been a couple years but it still seems the same." I commented aloud as Lilith looked back. "I was with Liara for a couple weeks before." I explained as we passed a volus talking about selling prefabs and such.
"Oh. Do you need a few minutes before we talk to her?" Lilith asked as I waved off the offer.
"Nah you go ahead I'll speak with her after you. I need to talk about some stuff with her in private."
"Is everything okay?" Lilith asked super concerned as I chuckled.
"No just didn't like how we left things I guess." I explained hoping this would suffice.
"Oh okay." She frowned as I stopped at a selling kiosk nothing interested me I just knew that me going in with Lilith might not be the best. After a couple minutes I saw Lilith leave the office before I walked in. Liara was looking down at a picture as I cleared my throat.
"Ah James you just missed Shepard." She stood up looking at me slightly cold.
"Yeah I know. I thought it best we spoke in privacy." I look down not moving before she approached me. I braced myself for anything instead I was met with a hug. I looked up and saw her with her head against my chest.
"I missed you James. You didn't call, leave a note, or anything." She let go and sat down in her chair as I sat across from her. "But then again everything that happened."
"Yeah. That's partly why I'm here." I explained still wearing my helmet.
"Whats wrong? Has it gotten worse?" Liara instantly started to question. I pulled off my helmet and rolled up my sleeves showing the wounds.
"They were fine til I joined up with Shepards crew again." I sigh as the gaze wraps had gotten a bit bad bit nothing worse than before. "You're theory was right. Anytime I'm near a lot of biotic people or power they open up."
"I'm sorry I caused this." Liara looked down in some guilt but mostly emotionless.
"Let's blame that on our drunk state at the time." I chuckled softly. "Shepard doesn't know about it."
"You should tell her." Liara encouraged in turn I scoffed.
"Oh yes tell my girlfriend who was dead at the time I had sex with her best friend a week after she died. Cause that won't kill me faster." I rubbed the bridge of my nose. "Besides it's my fault I'm in this mess. If I hadn't broke that mind meddling thing then maybe I wouldn't be dying."
"James." She spoke softly reaching across the desk and rubbing my cheek. "Don't blame yourself. It's my fault for coming on to you in the first place. In our drunken state I took advantage of you and the situation." I pulled away as I felt one of the cuts opened slightly at her touch.
