Episode 8: Big fish

Vintage smiled "Good morning everyo-! Where's Cookie?" Cookie ran out holding a portable incubator with the egg inside "Sorry-! Sorry... I'm back! Just had to be sure eggy was safe!" Vintage smirked "Well... Alright...! It's time for a challenge I've been excited for! The fishing challenge! Each time will be given 1 rod per member! The team that catches the most fish wins!" Cookie whispered to Lighter "Alright. Time to engage plan "Soapstone!" Lighter nodded. Vintage smiled again "Anyways! You guys have 3 hours! The pond is over there! Let the games began!"

Team Grass
Flower and RazorBlade grabbed a fishing rod and started happily chatting while fishing. Meanwhile Cappy, Bottle and Soapstone were playing as usual. "Alright! Soapstone, listen. We have an amazing plan!" He passed her a bucket full of a reddish brown substance "It's a special fishbait. All you have to do is grab some, stuck your hand in the pond and let the fish come to you." Soapstone growled "No. I'm done with these stupid plots! All they do is hurt people!" Cappy took a step forward "What was that...? Do I need to remind you your place?" Soapstone stepped back "We're at the same place! We're equal in every way! And you need to realize that Cappy!" This continued till Soapstone was at the edge of the lake with Cappy directly Infront of her. Cappy growled "Listen here. I don't care what you say or think. I'll KILL if it means I win this thing. I don't care if I have to strangle you to death with my bare hands!" Cappy tossed the bait at her. Causing her to fall into the water. Cappy looked through the clear water to see a HUGE fish. Cappy was taken aback when it ate Soapstone in one big bite. He backed "OH MY GOD." Flower ran over "What happened!?" "Soapstone got ate by a fish! "WHAT!?" Cappy ran over to Vintage "VINTAGE! SOAPSTONE GOT SWALLOWED BY A FISH!"

Team water:
While all the other team water members were fishing normally, Spork was trying hand fishing. Eventually HP looked over at him "What are you doing...?" "Hand fishing! Basically you fill your hand with bait and let the fish come to you!" HP tilted their head "And... That works...?" Spork gestured to their bucket which was almost full. HP put their rod down. "I um... Can I try...?" "Sure!" Spork handed them some bait and they both sat there for a while. Waiting for fishes.

Back to team Grass:
Vintage was on the verge of a panic attack "Oh my god oh my god oh my god- WHAT DO WE DO!?" Cappy looked over at Bottle. Who gave a light glare at Cappy with a look of disappointment and fear. Cappy took a deep breath "This is my fault... I... I'm going in." Before anyone could say anything Cappy dove into the water. He tried to swim when he remembered "Right... No arms..." He eventually saw the fish that swallowed Soapstone. He grabbed onto another fish and steered it towards the big fish. As he got closer something about the fish looked... Uncanny to say. But eventually he managed to open the fishes mouth. When he stepped foot in the fishes tongue he noticed it didn't feel slimy. But it felt like metal. When he looked forward he was left in complete shock.

Cliffhanger time featuring team water:
HP and Spork had been fishing for a while. When suddenly Hypnosis Pendant screamed. Spork looked over at them "Hypno! Are you okay...!?" Hypnosis pendant cried out "MY ARM! SOMETHING HAS MY ARM!" Spork began pulling on Hypnosis pendant to try and get them free. When they finally managed Spork had hit his head on a rock falling over. They looked up to see Hypnosis Pendant had gotten free. Unfortunately the fish made away with their arm. Spork shook at the sight of the blood. After snapping back to reality he screamed "SOMEONE CALL 911!"

Cappy:
It was Cookie, with Lighter by their side. With Soapstone in a small cage. Cookie cackled "Now we can finally make sure she can't hurt anyone ever again!" "W... What are we going to do with her...?" "Simple! We're going to drive this puppy to the loser hotel!" "Oh... That's not so bad..." Cappy regained his posture "Hey! Let her go!" Cookie flinched and looked over "Blue boy!? What are you doing here!?" Cappy snarled "I'm here for her! She didn't do anything!" Cookie growled "ARE YOU BLIND AND DEAF!? SHE'S BEEN CHEATING ALL GAME! SHE TRAUMATIZED HYPNOSIS PENDANT AND SHE GAVE LIGHTER A PTSD ATTACK!" Cappy paused. He took a deep breath "That wasn't her... It was me." Cookies anger expression faded to one of confusion, disbelief and slight fear "what...?" "I was controlling things from behind the scenes. I set up the traps and I was telling her what to do. If your going to capture anyone capture me!" Cookie paused. Unsure if what to do. They looked over at Lighter who looked scared. Cookie sighed and pressed a button opening the cage. They snarled "Take her and leave." Cappy and Soapstone left silently. Cookie leaned over the table and sighed "What now...?"

Vintage called out "Time is up! Alright. For anyone worried HP is currently at the doctor's after an extreme incident. So... Um... Yeah..." Vintage went around and counted each teams bucket. "Huh... Looks like team grab lost. And the winning team is... Team water!" Everyone on team water start cheering. Besides Spork. Who was sitting off to the corner. Vintage smiled "You guys will meet your new member later tonight!"

Later that night:

Vintages sighed "Alright Grassys. You know what time it is. Let's see the votes."

Cappy looked over at them "What...!? Why did you guys vote for Soapstone!?" "She cost us the challenge today!"

Bottle voted for: Soapstone.

Flower, Raz, Bottle and Soapstone all looked over at Cappy in shock. He huffed "I thought I was done for, wanted to go down with honor." Soapstone sighed "Well than..." She smiled "I'm glad it's over..." Soapstone got up and started walking through the portal. But before she could leave Cappy called out "Soapstone...!" Shr looked back at him. He muttered "I'm sorry... And... Good luck." She gave him a mix between an angry and disappointed glare before walking through the portal. Everyone else left. Everyone besides Cappy and Bottle. Bottle looked over at Cappy "Something's gotta change." "I know..." "You can't keep treating people like this." Cappy sighed "I just... Thought it was how your supposed to win." "Well you need to stop focusing on winning and start focusing on being nicer to everyone." Bottle stood up and left Cappy alone. Bottles words rang in Cappy's ears like clumsy church bells. He sat there all night. Lost in thought.

Vintage smiled "Alright team water! With hypnosis Pendant out for a few challeng-" "Wait... They're not leaving permanently...?" "Nope! They said they wanted to re-enter! They'll be back in around 3 episodes...? Anyways with you guys winning the challenge you officially get a new member! Not gonna lie. You guys could use it. And so... Here they arm!" Vintage struggled to pull back a certain to reveal a new member none of them had seen before. "Milkshake won the vote with 4 votes! Dorito was in 2nd with 2 and Firefly Lantern in 3rd with one!" Milkshake ran over (Somehow despite not having legs) "Oh my gosh! Hi everyone! I'm Milkshake! Aaaa I'm so happy to meet all of you!" Pillow sighed "Starting to wish we got second." Broom nudged Pillow with his foot "Hey! Don't be rude! *Ahem* Hi milkshake! I'm broom! The downer over there is Pillow."

Cookie was sitting by the pond with their egg. Vintage emerged from the bushes huffing "*Huff... There you a... *Huff* I've been lo... oking for you... everywhere!" Cookie sighed "Sorry..." Vintage paused for a second before sitting next to them "You okay...? You look... Upset..." Cookie huffed the egg closer "I just... I'm not in a good mood... Some stuff happened..." Vintage unconsciously put a hand on Cookies making them blush. "Hey... Do you wanna... Talk about it...?" Cookie leaned up against Vintages shoulder "I... Can't..." Vintage wrapped in arm around them "It's fine... You don't have to..." There was silence between the 2. Both of them looking at the moons reflection on the water. Vintage thought to himself "Come in Vinnie! Your brave! You can do this!" He took a deep breath "Well... Sorry for asking something off-topic but... I was wondering if... Sometime this weekend... You'd like to go see a movie or something...?" Cookie again, started to look like a tomato cookie. "L... Like a date...!?" Vintage perked up "I mean I uh- y... Yeah...! If that's okay..." Cookie was silent with fluster "O... Okay..." Vintage smiled and gave Cookie a hug before standing up "Great...! I'll see you than...!" And he walked away. Cookie paused for a moment. Before silently and calmly putting their egg in it's portable incubator. Standing up and doing a lil happy dance "YES YES YES!" They collapsed to the ground laughing "I... I've got a date with the cutest guy ever!" They clapped their hands together before sitting back up. They spent a little while there. Completely unable to stand still.
