I woke up and still felt the cut placed on the side of my eye. I jumped out of bed and went down the stairs to the kitchen and made myself a pancake. Suddenly, remembering that I was supposed to go to a party tonight at my father's partner's place, William Brooks.
I went to my room, jumped out of my pajamas and walked to my Coupe. I started the engine and went to the mall and picked out a dress. it was a red dress with a black bow on it and also bought a pair of heels and went to have a cup of coffee.
*time lapse*
I was dressed in my red dress and was ready to go. I hopped into my Coupe and drove at Brook's place. William had a daughter which I hated very much because she was a total show off. She acted very sweet in front of guys but believe me I knew how she was from the inside.
I walked over to the place where my parents and Dash were. Dash was there talking to Demi who was William's daughter. We hugged and then they started talking again making me feel like a total third wheel. I went to the bar and ordered coke. I stood there for like an hour, and then I saw Dash walking over to me.
"wassup Sis" he said.
"Nothing trying not to be a third wheel" I said flatly.
"Well you should have not left us then" he said accusingly.
"uhhun, you know how much I hate Demi" I almost yelled.
"What? You hate her?" he exclaimed.
"Yes" I said obviously.
"She is the best girl I have ever met you know. I sometimes prefer her over you." He said.
"What? you think she is better than me I don't believe it alright. I am leaving." I said.
I left the party and drove to the park which was the only the place that I could think of to clear my goddamn head. I called Tobin and asked him if he could come there but he said that he was going somewhere else. I sat on the old swing set and thought about Aunt Jessie. I thought of calling her and actually did.
"Hello?" I said.
"This is the Chicago Police station. How may I help you?" a deep voice said.
" ummm I wanted to talk to Jessie Caster, prisoner no312".
"Sorry you cannot talk to her now. Kindly call tomorrow at 9:30 am. Thank you"
*BEEEP*
I closed my cell phone and drove to my place.
*timelapse*
I sat down at my bed and stared at the ceiling. Suddenly my phone started ringing and my stomach made a somersault.
"Hello" I said.
"Hey mavey wassup?" I heard Tobin say.
"Nothing trying hard not to choke you" I said flatly.
"Look I am so sorry, but there is something I need to tell you" he said.
"What?" I asked a bit hesitantly.
"Look tonight I just went out with Kate" he said and I could feel him blushing.
"Wait what? The cheerleader "I asked half amused and half astonished.
"Yeah the hot one" he said.
"The fish. Why didn't you tell me this before?" I said angrily.
"Because it happened all of a sudden" he said .
"Alright alright I forgive you Tobs" I said letting out a sigh.
"No I am serious" he said defensively.
"Ok I am happy for you, you know?" I said.
"Thank you Mavis, you're the best see you tomorrow?" he asked.
"Okay "I said and hung up. I almost slept instantly.
I woke up with the terrible sound; it was my brother in shower singing at the top of his ridiculous voice. I went down the washroom and changed into my school clothes and left for school.
I parked my car and hopped out looking for Tobin, but he was nowhere to be seen. Usually he came early but anyways I walked down the corridor to my locker and found Tobin with Kate, kissing. I looked at them disgusted and went to my class. Today neither I nor Tobin had any class together. So, I just sat the whole day thinking about Tobin and our "supposed" to be everlasting friendship.
*time lapse*
As I hadn't seen Tobin all day I called him to come at the park.
"Hey wassup" I asked.
"nothing a bit busy with Kate" he said.
"Ok" I grunted and hung up.
I walked to the park and played football with little children. As I was about to leave I remembered that I forgot my cell phone on the bench. I walked there and heard,
"Look its miss haughty" I heard Derek say.
My stomach jolted and I looked back. He was walking towards me and had a group of his friends.
"Why so alone. Eh?" he asked
"None of your business" I blurted out and regretted instantly.
"Oh" he said and moved very close to me that I could feel his breathe. Realizing what he was about to do.
I kicked him at the private part and ran.
