Chapter 20

I woke up with the sound of my alarm blaring. I quickly turned it off since I didn't want my babe to wake. I sat on my bed and looked at Mav. She looked so pretty like that. I know though that she was drooling and her hair was all messed up but that imperfect look was actually pretty perfect. Geez! Look at me I sound like a stupid-in-love-teenager.

I saw her stirring in her sleep. So I sat there and didn't move.

"good morning" she said in a sleepy cum husky voice.

"mornin" I said.

She stared at me for a second and then her eyes widen for a second. I think she remembered that we had kind of a fight last night. But she didn't say anything. So I stood up.

"I need to go to the washroom. You to get ready. Since your flight is just fifteen minutes after mine"

She nodded but didn't look up. Okay then. I walked towards the washroom.

"wait" she said.

I did stop and looked behind me giving her a questioning look.

"I wanted to apologize for yesterday. I was acting like a total bitch. I mean a minute before I admitted that I liked you kinda thingy and the other minute well I acted just too differently" she said.

I was taken aback by that. Though I had fireworks going off in my stomach.

"it's alright" was all that I could say.

She nodded and went to the kitchen I guess to get something to eat.

Now we were a sitting in a cab which was taking us to the airport. We haven't talk much after she apologized and that is all because of me. Because now I am the one who is acting like a Jerk.......................I love her and now I am about to prove that to her.

MAVIS P.O.V

Tears were stinging my eyes. Shit now he hates me just because I acted like a bitch yesterday . Now he won't feelings for me the way he did before. Damn! I am feeling so gutted right now.

"cmon we have arrived" Peter said.

I nodded and followed him to the airport with my luggage. We went through a security check. Then entered the waiting lounge.

"I have to check on something. So in order to that I will have to go. have a safe flight. I will meet you at the airport of Chicago"

I nodded. It looked like he wanted to say something but he didn't. And he walked away.

Once he turned. Tears streamed down my face. He hates me so much that he couldn't just afford to sit with me. For just 15 more minutes.

I heard my plane's number so I walked towards the boarding area.

Now I was sitting in the plane. I had a window seat. So I just looked out and wept.

Every one was seated now. The seat to my left was empty.

"umm is this seat taken" I heard a voice say.

I looked towards my left and saw Peter standing on the aisle.

"babe why are you crying?" he asked with a worried expression.

"nothing" I said.

"seriously? " he asked incredulously.

" just nervous" I replied wiping my tears.

"here" he said taking out a packet.

"I gave him a questioning look.

"tissues" he said..

I made an o face.

"BTW what are you doing in this flight.?" I asked.

While opening the packet..

"lets say I missed you"

I took out the tissue paper. Something hard fell in my lap.

A ring.

"what the hell" I asked.

He turned to me and said slowly so that I was taking in every word he was saying.

"Mavis Steve you are the only person I have loved since I was young. You are an amazing person. You make me laugh and make me feel good when I am feeling shitty. you inspire me everyday. And every single day I fell for you. Babe will you marry me?"

I didn't realize I was crying and again. I nodded, he took the ring from my grip and slid it on my ring finger. he smiled and kissed me. On the plane.

Yayyyyyy.

When we broke apart. I realized that people were clapping. I blushed hard.

"and how did you get in this plane? " I asked.

" honey! I was a steward once remember? "

" oh yeah" I said.

"and why were you crying?" he asked.

"because I thought that now you hated me" I replied.

"so little faith in me eh?" he asked.

I got red at that and looked down in my lap.

"Come here" he said and hugged me.

"I will never leave you like that okay? And don't you ever forget that" he whispered in my ear.

I nodded and put my head on my fiance's shoulder his arm snaked around my shoulder.

Boi this is the life.
