Chapter 29

We walked to my apartment because Peter still had some time left before he went to his job. I opened the door and let him in.

Peter's mobile phone rang. It was Skype's ring tone.

"babe do you mind if I attend this call? " Peter asked.

" not at all" I replied.

He nodded and pressed the accept button.

"hey Uncle Peter" I heard some kid say.

"hi kiddos! What's happening? " Peter asked.

"nothing we were missing you very much actually so we thought of calling you up" the kids said.

Who is he talking to? I think it's his brother.

"where are you? " kids said.

" ummm at my friend's house. Come here Mavis" Peter said.

Friend. This made me laugh out loud.

"hello" I said and smiled at the camera. I could see two handsome little twin boys.

"hi" they both replied simultaneously.

"this is Nathaniel and this is Daniel " Peter pointed at the screen.

"its nice meeting you two"  I said.

"you too" Daniel replied.

"do you guys live together now? " Nathaniel asked.

" no..........not now but we are planning to get married." Peter said.

"uncle Peter? I will tell you what. This girl is nice you should get married to her right away and bring her to us" Daniel said.

"really? Yeah well I too like her but thanks for you know recommending her for me" Peter said.

"Daniel mum asked you to call her when he is online" Nathaniel said.

Then Daniel went to call his mother, Cheryl and his father, River.

Once the Skype call finished Peter told me that this was his only family including me as well.

WOAH *_*

He tucked me in bed as he had promised me and left for work. I was really sleepy so I slept in seconds.

Next day

We were coming back from my school and his college. I was driving because I haven't driven for months.

"babe what time is Sherry coming? " Peter asked.

" umm I don't know after an hour or so " I replied.

" okay then I will go to the pool. I haven't swum for ages"

"you know how to swim? " I asked.

" honey I am a gold medalist" Peter answered.

"for real? " I asked clearly amused.

" of course" he said.

"wow I don't even know how to float, swim....... Please"

"I can teach you sometime you know" Peter smirked.

"yeah I would love that" I smiled.

"I am hungry, let's have some food" he suggested.

"yeah ok. I will choose where to eat"

"done" Peter said.

I drove and stopped over a cheap restaurant. It sold American food and believe it or not it was amazing. I ordered double beef burger for both of us. We literally had the time of our lives there because even though we were not drunk but we were high, we tripped every kid who passed our table. We made stupid faces at infants and some of them cried.

We were back at our places. I went to my apartment because I had to clean it up, it was a mess. After an hour or so my door bell rang. I opened the door. Sherry was standing outside his hands tucked in his black beanie.

"hi there" I said.

"hello" Sherry replied.

"come on" I gestured.

"sure" he said and sat on the couch placed in the corner of the room.

"okay so let's get started" I said.

"yeah of course " he replied.

"first do you want anything?"  I asked.

"no. I am fine" Sherry replied.

"alright so a novel or a movie? "

" umm I don't really read novels. So can we go with a movie? " he asked.
He did different hand gestures when he talked which was weird but nice at the same moment cute I think.......no but Peter's manly talking style is way hotter.

" yeah sure we can do a movie"

"which one is your favorite? " Sherry asked.

" umm the divergent series I guess or maybe top gun" I replied.

"wow you really have a nice choice " he said.

" okay..... Thank you I guess" I replied.

"really..... I guess I really like you" he said.

"what do you mean?" I asked clearly confused.

"I mean Mavis...... Umm.......  I just kinda.... " he was half way in his sentence when the door opened and Peter walked in.

" babe I am back" he said, then he realized that we were having company.

"hey you must be Sherry " Peter said with a I-dont-trust-you smile.

" hi" he said clearly confused at who Peter was and why was he so frank with me.

"umm Sherry this is my husband to be aka my fiance" I introduced Peter.
"oh.  You never told me that you were engaged?" Sherry said.

"why would I tell you that I was engaged and secondly we aren't good friends now are we? " I asked.

"well then I never would have you know let myself like you"  Sherry replied.

"I am sorry Sherry but Peter is the only person I have loved and will love.. So....... Yeah " I answered.

I looked at Peter his face was blank.

" well then I will go. We will do the assignment some other time. " he passed me a tight lipped smile, took his bag and left.

Now it was me and Peter left in my room.

"aren't you mad at me?"  I asked Peter.

"why would I be mad at you? " he asked.

" because of all this shit" I said gesturing with my hands.

"no love" he replied softly, pecking my lips.

"thanks god" I said, sighing loudly.

" can I try a pick up line of  you? " Peter asked.

" sure" I replied.

"hey! I don't remember your name can I call you mine" he said and he had the cutest smile on his face.

I kissed him and replied "sure"
