Chapter 8

Its about time for my date with Vinnie and i begin shifting through my freshly hung closet until I hear a knock on my door. It was Tabitha.

"Hey. Watcha doing?"

"I'm looking for a dress to wear on my date with Vinnie tonight."

Tab looks at the dresses and pulls out a short red one.

"This one. Definitely this one."

"Yeah, but this dress shows everything."

"Yeah but this is Vinnie Hacker we're talking about. He was literally voted hottest guy in the hype house!"

"That's true."

"Try it on!"

"Fine Fine!"

I put it on and look in the mirror.

"I look like a hooker."

"A sexy hooker! Text Vinnie see what he thinks."

I roll my eyes.

"Fine."

Syd: Hey what do you think?

Vinnie: Damn- you better wear that tonight, just saying-

Syd: lmao I was planning on it.

I smile at my phone like an idiot. Tabitha looks at me.

"So your actually into Vinnie?"

"Yeah.. I am.."

"Isn't he the first guy your going out with since Jacob?"

"Yeah? Vinnie told me he's okay with being a  ' trial boyfriend. ' His words not mine-"

"As long as your happy, I am."

I hug Tabitha and she helps me do my hair.

I walk downstairs and see Vinnie waiting for me by the door.

"Damn. I should of known what I was moving in for."

I laugh at little and take his hand. Vinnie was truly a gentleman. He opened the car door for me and everything. He just.. wasn't Jacob.

- at the Hype House -

Jacob sits in the living room disappointed with himself until Jake walked into the room.

"Okay. You need to get off your ass and go do something."

"I am doing something. I'm watching anime!"

"Not enough. Go work out with Thomas or something."

"I can't go do something knowing that Vinnie and Sydney are out on a date right now."

"Jacob. You need to get your mind off of it."

"Fine I'll go work out with Thomas. Just to make you shut the fuck up."

- With Vinnie and Syd -

"How did you know I've always wanted a date under the stars?"

"I have my sources."

I sit down with Vinnie in the back of the truck we had taken. He had it so beautifully set up.

"Did you actually do all of this for me?"

"Of course I did Syd. You deserve it."

I lay my head on his chest. It felt so wrong, but so right. For some reason I felt guilty, but not so guilty that I wouldn't kiss him.

I put my hand on his cheek and kiss him. I felt truly safe with Vinnie. The only problem is, I kept imagining I was kissing Jacob the whole time.
