The days became weeks, and the search party dwindled quickly.
People still kept a look out, but since nothing else was found after the blood in the bush, everyone sort of accepted that Ranboo was dead.
Except Tubbo and Wilbur.

Ranboo continued deepening the engraving outside.
When he marked day 20, he turned more of his attention to working on things inside the cave.
He didnt hope to be found anymore, and accepted that the cave was his home. He worked for several days to cut a shelf into the stone near his sleeping space. There he stored his bowls, and his journal.
He still goes outside from time to time, but he spends most of his time in the cave.

Weeks became months, and Tubbo and Wilbur finally give up the search.
Wilbur and Tommy no longer talk to eachother.
Everyone tries to console Tubbo to no avail.
Every week, Wilbur and Tubbo plant an allium in the park.
Tommy let's the reality of it all sink in.
He accepts that he could've helped, but whenever he tries to apologize to Wilbur, he walks away.
He made the same mistake again, but this time there were consequences.
Someone actually died
His best friend is inconsolable
His brother won't talk to him

Ranboo covered most of the cave entrance with a mixture of glow vines, and normal vines.
He surrounded the four pools with dripleaf barriers, and connected them all.
He created clay slabs that went over the water like bridges, and collected more moss.
As the months dragged on, he began replacing letters with simpler shapes so he could decipher them better.
Every so often he retraces the engraving outside of the cave.
But it has no meaning to him.

Everyone moved on with their lives, except Wilbur Soot, Tubbo Underscore, and Tommy Innit.
Wilbur will always blame himself for starting the fight. He will always blame himself for not chasing after Ranboo.
Tubbo will never get over the loss of his friend. He crys himself to sleep every night. He will never be the same again.
Tommy will swim in the sea of his mistakes forever, struggling to keep himself afloat, not allowed to end his misery. He will feel guilty about not believing Wilbur. He will never forgive himself.

Ranboo forgets his life before the cave.
He forgets that he ever could see.
He forgets his friends, and moves on.
