OUTCAST CHAPTER: THREE
"She saw love in empty hearts."
"What is your name, young man?" The doctor asked, His kind soft yet deep voice, soothing Jung's ears. "Jung Abel Parker '' The doctor smiled at the response. "So, mind telling me, Jung? Who's this?" The doctor spoke, pointing to the empty chair. "Del, my friend, Can you see her? If so, my mum and dad have been bad to her, they laughed at her." Adelaide and William stared at the empty chair, wanting to see this so-called Del, but failed, because Del was never there. "What does Del mean?" The doctor inquired, pretending to seem interested in the non-living human friend. "Her full name is Amour Del Lune, Which means ' Love of the moon' in French. I call her Del." The doctor was surprised at the meaning and guessed that the child was fascinated by celestial beings. "Which star do you like?" Jung's face was written in confusion, "I don't like a particular star, I like the constellation named 'Delphinus.' It means 'dolphin' in Latin." The doctor knew this child was not his business, a normal paediatrician, can't do all the stuff. He decided. "I'll put up an appointment with Eun, The psychiatrist, she'll take care of him, sorry to say.. but I don't know what to do." Jung just turned around and spoke to Del in a low voice. "Hey, Del... What do you think is wrong with me?" Del answered, "Nothing, you are perfectly fine. I love just how you are, you're perfect."
-
"It has nothing to do with you, I love you too," Jung spoke to Del, She smiled softly before embracing Jung. Jung was sure that his problem had nothing to do with Del, But he was wrong. It started because of her. It'll end with her gone. "Let's sing that song together," Jung spoke, and Del nodded,
"Lavender's blue dilly dilly, Lavender's green,
When you are king dilly dilly, I shall be queen.
Who told you so dilly dilly, who told you so?
It was my own heart dilly dilly, it told me so,
Call up your friends dilly dilly,
set them to work, Some to the plough dilly dilly,
some to the fork, some to the hay dilly dilly,
some to cut corn,
Whilst you and I keep ourselves warm."
Jung and Del laughed heartily, under the eyes of the watchful parents, who glanced in horror and amusement, at the boy laughing and singing, all alone, talking to the winds, the trees, etc... "Honey" Adelaide called out to William, "Yes?" "What do you think, should we meet Eun?" William just smiled, "anything that helps, after all, we're far above the poverty lines." Adelaide, who just listened, hummed as the couple continued watching the lonely boy who was joyful all on his own, in his world. "Del! When should we start stargazing?" Jung asked delightedly. "I don't know, You select." The brunette calmly replied, "What about um, after dinner? 9?" Del smiled brightly and spoke, "very well! Today, I heard the Delphinus constellation will be there!"
"I don't know anything, it happens on its own, It has a mind of its own, I can't explain it"- Jung
