daithí hopped off the bus outside tyler's apartment and waited to be buzzed inside. by the time he got to tyler's floor there was already an array of 20 different games laid out on his couch and a whiteboard with a shitty score board scribbled on it.

"let's get this shit started motherfucker"

-

about 5 and a half hours and numerous noise complaints later, tyler through his controller at the wall  in defeat and turned to his friend.
"FINE you win nogla you fucking shitbag."

daithí grinned and picked up a pile of coins and a few notes from the floor and clumsily shoved them into his pocket. the day hadn't actually started as a winner takes all situation but competitiveness was a flaw of both the men and it wasn't long before they were wagering whatever loose change they had in their wallets.

"I'm going to crash here tonight if that's okay, I've missed my last bus home and I'm not bothered to walk," david said, pulling a luke warm can of beer out of his bag and chucking it towards tyler.
"yeah man no worries, take a pillow from my room and I'll get you a blanket for the couch"

with this, david walked into tylers room pushing a pile of dirty clothes out of the way of the way of the door. "hey," he called out, looking down at the ground. "these pants look just like the ones marcel said he couldn't find anywhere, remember he said he thought he left them at some guys house? I better text him an-..."

his sentence trailed off slowly.
"what were you saying daithí?" tyler said, following him into the room, but he stopped when he saw the clothes in david's hand. an awkward silence filled the apartment and tyler felt his cheeks go red.

"please don't tell anyone"

his voice got even more quiet.

"please don't tell craig"
