Chapter 1: White as snow

I do not own Naruto or any of the Naruto characters. I only own Nari Uzumaki. And the never-before-heard-clan member you will meet soon. I'm a chill person but please do not copy my work or ideas in my stories.

October 10th. A day in The Leaf no one will ever forget. The day the Nine-Tailed Beast attacked Konohagakure, also known as the Hidden Leaf Village. As Konoha almost fell and many lives were lost, depression fell on the village. The Third Hokage sacrificed himself to seal the beast and save his people. Most people consider that day a cursed day and consider the child born on that day a monster.  The name Naruto Uzumaki-Namikaze was known as a cursed name of a demon instead of the blessed name of a hero. 

But none knew of the child born after Naruto from the same mother on that very same night.

"Lord Fourth, you can't be serious! Surely there must be another way!"

"I'm afraid this is the only way to save the Leaf."

"The Leaf is saved; we just survived the beast attack-"

"That was only the beginning. Now we have a jinchuriki in our lands and not only one but TWO! We cannot possibly hope to survive the upcoming war between the great nations as we will be seen as a threat when news spreads on the twins jinchuriki."

"Yes but, I'm sure there is another way than sending one of the twins away! And to where anyway?"

"I don't know yet, it has to be somewhere no one will find her."

"Her? So, you're sending the girl away. But what about Naruto?"

"Everyone knows about Naruto's existence since he was the one first seen by the medical ninjas. Nari came out after the attack started and when the medical ninjas had to flee."

"Minato-sensei still, you cannot be serious!"

"I am serious. I'm serious about saving my friends, family, and village. The people I love. It is my duty to protect my village, my home. And if you love something you have to protect it, even if it means you have to hurt another. But out of all people. You know this the most...right Kakashi?"

Kakashi breath hitched as he thought of the time, he lost people dearest to him. 'Rin, Obito.' He thought in his mind. He sighed deeply, knowing he would not get anywhere with his sensei. His decision was final.

8 years later.... (evening)

Minato was sitting at his desk in his office when his 8-year-old son walked in bruised and beaten. He hurried to his son's aid to clean the scratches as this was the fourth time this week he had seen his son this way. And it was only Wednesday.

Before he could ask his son, what happened, the 8-year-old busted into tears in his dad's arms. "Why is it always me? What did I do wrong?" He said in between sobs. 

Minato didn't know how to respond. He couldn't possibly tell his son that the living monster that attacked the village 8 years ago was sealed inside of him. All the father could do was hug the boy and soothe his crying. 

"Son, people are just afraid of things they just don't understand." Naruto wiped his tears and looked up at his dad. "Why don't they understand me then? I'm just like everyone else."

These words almost brought Minato to tears as he knew his son was right. He was no different than anyone else. He just carries a beast that scares them.

"It will be alright my son. You are just special."

"But then why do the villagers hurt me and why can't you do anything about it!?"

"As Hokage, I have to protect my village."

"So, your village in more important than your own son!? What kind of Hokage are you!?"

"Enough!" Minato caught himself getting overwhelmed with questions. "Just go home to your mother. She will finish cleaning your bruises and make you some food."

Naruto refused to let the tears come from his eyes anymore as he barged out of the Hokage's office. He ran past the secretary still holding back tears. When he made it out of the tower, he looked up at the moon and soon he couldn't hold them back anymore.

He continued to walk around. Since people weren't out, he could stroll in peace.

-Naruto POV-

I can't believe he loves these horrible people more than me. He cares about being the Hokage than being a father. What was the point of having me then?

I was almost to the house when I heard a small cry. It was coming from some bushes by the weapon store. 

I hated this place. This is where the villagers bought the weapons, they hurt me with. 

When I pushed the bushes away, I saw a small white puppy. I could tell it was a girl and her leg was hurt. There was a kunai not too far away. She must have pierced her leg when she was passing by.

I walked closer to the pup, and it tried to scurry away from me. She was scared so instead of going closer to her, I bent down in front of her. "Are you okay?" 

I looked at the weapon store to the right of me. "You got hurt by this place too, huh?" I took out some bandages that I kept handy. "Can I help you?"

She slowly looked up at me, staring at me like she was trying to find any sign of lies. She laid her head down the other way, letting me wrap her leg with the bandage.

After I was done, she licked her leg and stood up. She fell back down. "Take it easy." I told her. 

She let me touch her as I scratched behind her ears. "Woah..." I looked her over. She wasn't a normal puppy, but I didn't know exactly what type of animal she was.

One thing was for sure. "You sure don't belong here." Then I noticed her shiny white fur as it glowed in the moonlight. "And your fur is beautiful...its." I laughed out loud, "Snowy..."

Almost as if she knew I was complimenting her, she put her paws on my chest and licked my face. "Stop Snowy, that tickles!" I tried to say in between giggles.

She soon stopped and curled up in my lap. I was startled at first, but soon I cuddled her closer to me and wondered when the last time was I was this happy. 

My thoughts were interrupted when she got up from my lap and started to slowly walk away. "Snowy, wait! Where are you going?" I started to ask her. But I knew she couldn't stay with me. She wasn't mine and if anything, she will probably keep getting hurt if she stays with me.

After thinking, I looked up, and she was gone. I sighed knowing I was going to miss her and started to continue walking home. 'I wonder if I will ever see her again.'
